"I am so impressed with this wonderful group of folks that run this program. Mr. Jim (doesn't he look like Obi Wan Ken-obi in that first picture? ) - anyway – not to be funny – this place has been a Godsend for my boys. You can feel the love, care, creativity, skill, and dedication of Mr. Jim and his caring staff. I am so impressed with how experienced students will be a part of teaching my sons. What great role models for my kids. My boys are also making friends. The kind of friends you want your kids hanging out with! This program is going to fit well with all types of youth – athletic to the academic. They have class 5 days a week. You can attend any and all – HOW CONVENIENT ! If you are unsure if your kid will fit with Karate – you must TRY this program. They have a great trial program. I am finding I am looking forward to classes just to have that time to relax and watch. It's great family time. There is a very strong tie in that my son's are on a Black Belt Track and it starts with them acting like a black belt NOW. Part of the training is teaching the mindset of success - “how would a black belt handle this situation” - it's just BRILLIANT !. Exercise, physical skills - drills, and life skill training. Values of integrity, care, and discipline. Talks about real life situations with options to create the best outcome. Those golden rules in life. We try as parents to make our young ones grow up to be the best they can be – this program is going to get them so much further in this mission. I was with my young one at a truck stop while traveling and he brought a snack to the check out. When the cashier asked him something he replied with a "yes mam" and then a "thank you mam". The cashier looked at me and stated "you are the best dad". I'm thinking - I have the best karate instructors. Everything is done in a coaching and encouraging way. My kids feel like they are a part of a caring team on a mission. A mission for everyone to be their best. I like that the feel here is not authoritarian. It's not punishment – it's learning lessons to be better (they may do laps or push ups to counter misbehavior - loss of focus - or even a miss-applied technique). I have seen all students (even that rambunctious kid that can't keep in line to save his life) – all students are always addressed so they feel like they are an important part of the team and that it's all about building them to be their best. Love this place – so thankful ! Thank you Mr. Jim !!!"
