"I had a counselor named Harry Lowers. He wanted to talk more about how great and important he was than focusing on my issues. He was the most negative and jaded person I've met in life. The women in the office were kind and helpful, but Harry has no business counseling anyone. By his own admission his two daughters both beat their little dogs for running off. One hard enough to be bitten. Someone who raised children who beat small defenseless animals has no business counseling me on how to raise my child. We maybe had 5 sessions. I learned that Harry ran the office there, but would gladly take a pay cut to step back and work less. But he's so important they can't function without him. I know he did his own backyard patio, because he's really handy and a hard worker. I know that a contractor once returned his call 2 weeks late and Harry berated the man for not returning his call immediately. He had no idea if the man had been on vacation, or maybe had a death in the family, he was only concerned with the fact that his call wasn't returned immediately. I know Harry thought a counselor in the office was using covid symptoms to their advantage and he threatened to fire them if they didn't meet his deadline and have their license suspended so they lost their livelihood. I believe he told me he did end up firing them! There were a lot of stories about Harry. I learned a lot about Harry in that short time. He certainly lacks humility and good judgement. Harry advised me that telling my child he represents our family and should be respectful in public was the wrong move. Bad parenting. It puts too much pressure on my son. He also told me I should have encouraged my childs plan to, in my sons words, "get a weeks worth of homework and do it when I feel like it". My son had dozens of missed assignments last year. I told my son his plan wasn't a good one, and that he should do his homework when his teachers told him to, not when he felt like it. Harry told me that indicates I'm power hungry and controlling. Really?? I feel like its a parents job to reinforce the rules our school boards and teachers have in place, and not to encourage our children to do what they want. Harry is completely ineffective at counseling. He wallows in his own misery, and will treat everyone accordingly. If you want real counseling, and real results this is not the place to go."
"Don't go here if you want to improve your mental health. They will judge you and treat you like trash before they even get to know you."
"The Carrollton location offers school based counseling and case management services. They also have outpatient counseling. Caring staff!"
"They have a very nice staff that are there to help"
