Crawford County Sheriff

"This is the worse sheriff's office I have ever heard of. My brother was shot and killed by crawford County sheriff dept and they didn't bother to answer the phone for over 12 hrs. Or call and notify the family that my ONLY brother was dead. We never got an official explanation of what happened and my brother was never one to point a gun at anyone, he was already being wrongly accused of an armed robbery he wasn't involved in. Whoever the sheriff needs to be visited by internal affairs to make sure he is serving and protecting or just running things However he feels like. Anyone deserves a call when your officers are responsible for a death. May God have mercy on your souls for what kind of place your running."

"What can you say about this Sheriff's Department? All it takes is one video of an ignorant, and insufficiently trained officer to unfortunately assume this is the norm in Georgia, or at least Crawford County. To have any officer involved in a situation demanding a pet owner to mutilate their pet under threat of arrest is outrageous and inconceivable. What's even more alarming is that he is still employed? Really??? For a sheriff to not only allow this to happen, but to then do little to nothing in response is beyond alarming about the character (or lack there of) of the police who are supposed to serve and protect....especially the sheriff whom you would hope would not only hold citizens accountable for their actions, but also the officers under their command."

"Since you have no adequate way to fill out a complaint this will have to do. Your Investigator James Hollis is a particularly cruel and vile human being. He made Mr. Goodwin decapitate his own pet dog shot at the end of his driveway by one of your deputies under the threat of do it or go to jail for "disorderly conduct". What kind of freak show are you running Sheriff? That was not even proper protocol per the Georgia State Health Department!!! You call the animal control or department of fish and wildlife service and have them transport the entire dog to the health department for necropsy. They are pretreated preventively for rabies. What Investigator Hollis did was expose Mr. Goodwin and now his entire family to rabies should that dog be positive which it most likely is not, but he should have been frowned, gloved and face shielded. You have an Investigator who needs to lose his job immediately. A man in a costume with a tin star and a loaded gun stomping on the Constitutional Rights of the citizens of Crawford County with a regular Deputy joining in. He made up laws and procedures which didn't exist! He is morally and ethically bankrupt, and no longer fit to serve in law enforcement. However, I'm not naive, and I'm sure he'll lie in the official report. You as Sheriff will swear to it, and he'll continue on being the rogue dangerous cop he is. I expect to hear his name again soon when he really loses it, and starts blowing away innocent unarmed civilians."

"It is extremely difficult for me to wrap my head around the actions of your officers who killed a man's dog and made him cut its head off or face arrest. There is no way on this earth that is acceptable behavior from anyone. A professional has to carry out that duty and they have to have hasmat gear. The utter viciousness of this is astounding. The sooner you make a statement on this the better for you because it is going viral."
