Reviews of Lowe's Home Improvement
"This experience had been a nightmare ! We have been trying to get a renovation completed for several months . All our orders of cabinets , appliances, counters have either been wrong or missing or duplicated. Still to this day as I post this we received a call saying some of the order for counters has not been ordered. This has been passed from manager to manager to no avail and they make promises and blame others for the errors etc. The customer service and lack of accountability is ridiculous!!! We need someone to fix their errors. Calls to 800 number has not worked. Don’t do this kind of project and be forewarned about this so you don’t waste money , time and an enormous amount of stress to your family!"
"The one star review is for the loading team. My average wait time is 30 minutes at this location over the last two years for mulch. This is all times of day anywhere from 8 AM all the way till 8 PM, I never can get someone to come with the forklift and load our truck. Staff is kind and generally helpful but loading is too slow."
"DO NOT order fencing from Lowe's. We were gifted a fence for our new house, and the estimated completion time was 4-6 weeks. Here we are 10 weeks later, and they only had a partial delivery of materials which has delayed the install by another week. No one seems to take responsibility either. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere if you need a fence installed."
"As long as they have the third-party delivery service, DO NOT buy an appliance here. Good thing I'm fluent in Spanish or there would have been no communicating at all. We ordered a washer. First team didn't level it. Water everywhere. Scraped walls. Zip ties on the floor. On the way out, "This is my company. Give us a ten when they call you." They sent second team out to fix. They were good. Then the third team today to exchange the washer. Only slightly better than the first team, but water on the floor, zip ties on floor. We were supposed to get Tide Pods sample. Never got it. At the store, they told us they get complaints all the time about the delivery service. Today, they said there were three people IN THE STORE complaining about the delivery service. Again, DO NOT get an appliance here. And the assistant manager at this store, Toni, could not have cared less about my situation. Also, the toll free number they give for customer service is useless. Just do not go here."
"I really like the products and selection offed at Lowe’s. It is overall very DIY friendly and has a good store layout to easily find things you need. I DO NOT like the SELF CHECKOUTS. Ugh. If there were a couple of them available when you just had a couple of simple items, fine. But many of my supply purchases for a project can be complicated and it would be great to have someone who was trained to do it for you. Lowe’s is definitely going to this low-customer service style as their main mode of checkout and I’ve noticed the lone station that’s employee operated is usually NOT even manned (and the light is switched off). Maybe that business model works for them, I’m not sure, but it doesn’t work for the way I shop. Where I can, I am shifting my purchases to locally or regionally owned lumber and hardware businesses. For small, straightforward purchases I’ll certainly continue using Lowe’s."
