"This is an underrated park for sure. You can easily spend a few hours walking and exploring it. It's well maintained and there's a lot of boards to read and learn more about the mounds. The museum did not have many displays when we went, but we watched the free movie being played inside. There is an entrance fee of $6 per person and they had some free snacks outside the building when we went."
"Incredible that it was built by hand. The history film was very informative. Note: some of the artifacts have been rightfully return to the original tribes so displays are somewhat limited."
"Simply wonderful! If you are looking for a wonderful place to retreat; meditate, connect with the universe, and recharge....this is a rare find in GA. We arrived early and planned to stay a minimum of 1 hour since it was a chilly morning. We actually stayed over 3 hours, wrapped snuggly in our blankets, allowing the sun to warm our souls!"
"Beautiful, peaceful, very relaxing area by the river where you can sit on benches & watch the wildlife if you have time. Many comfortable benches on the walk trail & around the areas of the mounds if stopping along the way to the mounds is needed. Prices super cheap & definitely worth the money. Special shows & demonstrations on the weekends usually not done during the week such as: Blow dart demonstration, making arrowheads, shooting a bow, & lots of others. Friendly & knowledgeable staff. Holidays being an exception they're open 9a-5p 7 days a week. A must see!"
"Extremely fun, place to visit very relaxing and well-maintained making for enjoyable walks on the river and all over the state park. The trails are beautiful the mountains have historic relevance. If you enjoyed Native American stuff as much as I do, you will appreciate this place immensely. Pictured are my own indigenous people Chippewa Indian wife a thing of beauty"
