Reviews of Publix Super Market at The Village at New Georgia
"Title: A Tale of Unmet Expectations: A Publix Sub Order Review As a loyal customer of Publix, I've always held their deli sandwiches, particularly their subs, in high regard. However, recent experiences have left me questioning the reliability of their service. Today's incident, compounded by past occurrences, has compelled me to share my dissatisfaction. The chain of events leading to my disappointment began with previous instances where my Publix sub orders weren't prepared on time. While delays are understandable occasionally, consistent tardiness raises concerns about efficiency and customer care. Today, I decided to give Publix another chance, placing an order for a sub set to be ready by 1:30 PM. Adhering to the designated time, I left my house promptly at 1:30, arriving at the store by 1:43, only to be greeted by an unexpected setback. The sub I eagerly anticipated wasn't ready due to a trivial issue – the inability to toast it. Regrettably, instead of proceeding with the order, Publix opted to contact me to address the toasting matter. However, since I was en route to the store, I was unable to answer the call. Consequently, they decided not to proceed with preparing the sub altogether, leaving me empty-handed and disappointed. This incident underscores a fundamental flaw in Publix's customer service protocol. While communication is crucial, decisions that impact the customer's experience should be made with greater foresight and consideration. A simple alternative could have been to proceed with preparing the sub as requested, albeit without toasting, and inform me upon arrival. Moreover, the lack of proactive measures to mitigate issues, such as offering alternatives or compensations for delays, reflects poorly on Publix's commitment to customer satisfaction. It's disheartening to see a renowned establishment fall short in meeting basic expectations, tarnishing the reputation it has diligently built over the years. Despite these setbacks, I remain hopeful that Publix will address these concerns and strive to regain the trust and confidence of its customers. As a valued patron, I implore Publix to reevaluate its practices and prioritize prompt, efficient, and customer-centric service moving forward. Only then can they uphold the standards that have defined their brand for generations."
"Anyone else experiencing supply shortages with this location? I have noticed there hasn't been a store manager in quite a while. Wonder why? And if that has anything to do with the fairly empty shelves and freezers (i.e. vegetables). Also, the customer service desk isn't as friendly as it has been. A co-worker had a bad experience with them last week over a price for a product that rung up differently than the price on the shelf. He always shops at this location as I do (sometimes I see him there); however, because of the way he was treated he now shops at the Kroger that is really closer to his house. Kroger?! That's bad when you choose Kroger over Publix! Also, does anyone like self check out? I do and it would be very beneficial if this location would get a few of them. Sometimes the 10 items or less lane(s) are long or they don't have it or them open and therefore the other lanes have long lines (usually 3 open) and some of us have only a few items. This occurs on a Friday evening and Saturday and Sunday afternoons! I would love just to be able to walk up to a self check register and scan and bag my items as I do at Target, Walmart, Costco, Sam's, etc. So much easier! At times Publix is not a pleasure to shop at when you stand in a long line with only a few items!"
"Very clean, organized, well staffed grocery store. May be a little on the pricy side but I guess it's the price you pay for quality. They have delicious fresh fruit and good quality meats, for that reason I shop there. Their cashiers are always neat and presentable. It's worth it."
"The store is great and a pleasure shopping there EXCEPT when you order sushi. I have a history of poor service in attempting to get my orders. When you order online it goes to the deli and they are supposed to give it to the seafood department for the sushi to be made. Many times and I am not exaggerating, my order has not been made or placed aside! Luckily, there would be sushi available for me to take it. One time I paid online and that was a mistake as they didn't have my order and there no sushi available! So every time I order online I select to pay in the store. They do not work efficiently as the deli does in ordering a sub or lunch meat. I get sushi every Wednesday when it is $5.00. I go when I get off from work, around 5:15 or so, and sometimes is no sushi left especially the California rolls. That's why I order ahead online so it would be made and the order placed aside for pickup."
