Since we adopted him from the shelter a year ago, he has boarded with them several times and it is the only place we will use as he has anxiety and is wary of new people and other dogs. James makes sure he is well taken care of and as comfortable as possible during his stay - going above and beyond to even ensure he is there personally when Mickey is dropped off to introduce him to new staff since he already loves him haha. "Top-notch board and train program. James Lockhart is kind, consistent, thorough, and incredibly knowledgeable. We sent our puppy Basco, an Olde English Bulldogge, to Camp 4-Paws at 4 months old. He came home a different dog at 5 months old—all the same great personality traits, but now has so many basic skills that will help him, and us, to live a happy life together. James uses only positive reinforcement, reward-based training. We can already see the effectiveness of this. Basco is trusting, confident, and calm. He knows the expectations, and that gives him peace. He is now a happy and content dog because of this foundational training. Camp 4-Paws provided him with socialization, both with other dogs and with people. They took him on outings to expose him to new environments. They taught him to wait patiently for the things he wants. He is no longer pushy when he wants something. He does something desirable like sitting or laying down. He does not jump on us or our guests; hosting people in our home is now comfortable and easy. He now has excellent crate manners. He goes to his “place” when told, and every day he is staying there, relaxed, for longer and longer. Most importantly, he took such great care of our boy. During his stay, he had some trouble with an illness. James treated him like his own and ensured his proper care. We were never worried for a moment. As with any dog training, your commitment to continuing the consistency is very important to its overall success, so at pick-up, James will provide you with the tools you need to do so and “train” you too! We are forever grateful for James and Camp 4-Paws."

"Anytime I need to be out of town my little Bash is boarded at Camp 4-Paws. The owner and staff truly care for your pets and make sure all their needs are met. They go above and beyond. They’re also very good at boarding pets that may have special needs. Bash has seizures and must have his medication given at strict times and he will only take it if he has it in peanut butter. I forgot one day and the owner personally ran to the store to buy peanut butter for his medicine. Highly recommend."
