"DO NOT COME HERE. DONT EVEN REPLY SAYING, “You have been misinformed” or “We do more than any petstore” because I was an employee there and I know what happened. This place should be SHUT DOWN. There puppies come from bad licensed breeders (That’s saying if there puppy’s did come from a breeder and not a mill) let’s say petland purchases a puppy for $400, they upsell it for $8900. If you purchase a puppy withought the puppy for a lifetime program they will not care if something happens to your pet. I remember a lady purchased a 8 thousand dollar puppy and a month later it passed away from getting hit by a car. Management said, “Since you didn’t get the puppy for a lifetime program there is nothing we can do.” Didn’t say I’m sorry for your loss or anything. And told me she shouldn’t have let her dog out on the road anyways. That means you will be spending years paying off a $8K puppy that you don’t even have and passed away tragically. They sell deathly sick puppies saying, “If they have diarrhea for the first few days it’s just nerves” when in reality it had a serious illness. They tell employees to put sick live animals in a bag into the freezer ALIVE because they can’t afford to take it to a vet or simply don’t care. That is the MAIN reason a lot of people quit. I remember a coworker told me management told him to put a bunny with a broken leg in a fish bag alive into the freezer and he seen fog in the bag from it breathing and it broke his heart. He said he would of gaven it a faster death then a slow cold one and it traumatized him. In that same fridge they put dog food, reptile food, with seriously Ill puppy poop in bags in there. From my knowledge 3 puppies have died there. They force there employees to sell puppies and if they don’t hit a quota they will get fired. There is so so so much more I could get into and I honestly don’t care if I get into trouble from speaking my mind. The conditions there are terrible. From my current knowledge it is under new management. Also I would like to say not all Petlands are the same. There is one in Ohio where they don’t sell puppies and there animal enclosures look humane and well taken care of and they even have a puppy day care. But there is a reason this petstore has 2 stars. I worked there thinking it would of been a fun experience! Didn’t know I would see so many animals die and mistreatment."
"If it was possible to write this place, zero stars, I would. The absolute worst place for a dog to end up just walk in and you will understand why oh and if you want to save one of the babies it is likely that you can’t because they are priced at $5000 ranging just under that and over. Every animal in there looks pitiful and ill. How could someone work at a place like this? How could someone create a place like this? How could someone own a place like this a complete disgrace….. and if you think anything I’m saying isn’t acceptable or correct please if you can handle it walk in there yourself but brace yourself because I have seen under fed dogs literally eating their feces in the small cooped up cages that also to add look extremely uncomfortable."
"Do NOT support this business. There are other local reputable pet supply stores Pet Land is the only pet supply chain left that sells dogs-puppies they get from puppy mills. Their dogs are sickly and kept in tiny cages. If you must buy a dog, get one MUCH cheaper from a reputable breeder or, better yet, adopt from shelter. Stop this terrible abuse of animals."
"Selling puppy mill puppies in tiny cages is bad enough. But when we tried to return a leaky water bottle we bought for our rats, with a receipt and in original packaging, they said they "don't take back used items." Folks, this was a WATER BOTTLE that held water ONCE and wasn't even touched by our rats. $25 wasted. We threw it out in the trash can right outside the door."
