Reviews of OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital and Emergency Department
"Front Desk was extremely rude, lack of communication, not to mention the lobby area and bathroom were disgusting and unsanitary. Poop smeared everywhere in the mens bathroom stall and floor. Worst service ever, zero stars if possible."
"In my opinion, the majority of these reviews are spot on. This place is not worth the 2 stars it has. I was hospitalized here 3 years ago about this date after an abdominal surgery. I was put in a room and pretty much ignored. I had a urinary catheter that had to be emptied 3 times over the course of the night. I was connected to an IV with a bag that was completely dry. Call lights were not answered except by the assistants, which were awesome (can’t say that about the RN). After being filleted like a fish, one could imagine I was in pain. I got Tylenol. The nurse told me because this is best for all their “gynny” patients. I asked to have the catheter removed but they said no. I didn’t even have a leg bag. No chair in room. Wanted to walk after surgery but not allowed to. After reading my post op notes, I had stronger medication ordered but the nurses didn’t give this to me. Frustrating like a lot of others out there I am not a drug seeker but when I have major surgery, I expect it to be treated. I did complain at the time and haven’t heard back to this day."
"The person I called and spoke with in billing department was amazing! (ONLY REASON I GAVE THREE STARS) She did things like they are suppose to be done. The person on portal however did not and made me furious, which is why I called . The person online lied and said they couldn't bill my secondary insurance. She never even looked to see if they had my secondary insurance in system, which it wasn't. I gave both primary and secondary insurance when I went to ER. I find it suspicious that about a month after being at ER I had fraudulent charge in large amount on one of my cc. and when brought back from CT purse and clothes and everything had been moved. Also the ER will take you back without actually inputting your medical info OR at very least copying it so doctor/CNP can look at it and will try and give you medicines you can't take. They will not give you IV fluids even when blood work shows your creatine level is lower than normal meaning you are probably a bit dehydrated. They just leave you in room and when you ask for something , nurses tell you , " you will have to wait.". Then never bother to tell doctor what you needed. This place is only good for putting bandaids on people and doing CT's. They definitely can't put a good IV in your arm without calling a specialist. There may be a new layout and decorations but it was a better hospital before Ohio Health took over. No one thought about handicap parking not being straight shot in when they moved entrance and if you are unlucky enough to get furthest handicap parking spot it is further away than old entrance was. SMH!!! Plus I don't know how they are not breaking HIPPA laws with you giving all your info with everyone 2 feet from you? Not very private. Everyone loves to announce to entire room what they need to be seen for... NOT!"
"Kevin Swank hit me with a 382 dollar bill after insurance and showed up 15 minutes late. It was my first physical therapy session and I told him I was only going to be there once and I would rather have him just write me down what his plan would be for me to progress through, instead he took 40 minutes having me actually do 3-4 workouts and explain them to me. No benefit in going to one of these PT appointments just once for your health and there is surely no benefit to your pockets going more than once. Considering how he devalued my time for my first appointment there was no way I would return even if I was planning to. Come on man, not everyone has a fully coverage plan to handle anything but the best service, especially students. Do better Kevin."
"The red head nurse at the reception desk was extremely rude last night. Never in my life have I met anyone in health care as nasty as her. She seems like she needs to be checked out. I was not a hard patient and I was not rude to anyone. She told me to “go” as I was walking. I was so distraught and I do not recommend she take care of anyone in need of help. She also said other rude comments and gestures."
