"I will be in and out of here frequently due to upcoming surgery. The hospital is small but clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful when answering questions. This is the hospital where my daddy was taken 13 wks ago after the car accident that killed my mommy. It was in these halls that I was told my Mommy wasn't there. She was DOA so they took her Waybright Funeral Home. It was the worse Second in my life that changed my world forever...no closure! The hospital staff was so good to all of us and helped my daddy tremendously, the nightmare had a silver lining...helpful understanding facility that took great care of my daddy."
"Went in for heart complications and had a panic attack with extreme anxiety because it was a foreign place. I started to cry and I started hyperventilating extremely bad.The staff did not help me in any way the EKG guy just wanted me to lay down even though I was having breathing difficulties and hyperventilating myself. I ask for help he told me to lay down and he was not helpful. I did a curse word and he yelled at me. I know that I was not getting help so I started to get up and leave before i passed out. I was told that security was going to be called on me and was told to leave. Mind you I was going in for heart complications not the anxiety, anxiety was a result of the place. I told the nurse that the EKG guy was unprofessional she told me I was the one that was professional and to leave the building. If I did have a heart attack they did not care they were more concerned about rapper mending me than my health. Do not go to the ER there do not go to hospital they are extremely jaded. I am a 40 year old man who has worked security in two major hospitals and I will tell you I have never in my life been treated so poorly. The best result when someone is hyperventilating is to get the nurse and try to calm the customer down not try to force them to lay down when they don't feel like they're breathing. There was so many other ways this place could have handled the events it was poorly done. I will tell you they are extremely jaded. I don't know if it's Ripley or if it's the people or if it's just West Virginia but that hospital seriously needs to be reworked. Sorry for my spelling errors and grammar I have a minor dyslexia."
"We had a minor injury, a broken finger and a laceration, went through reception and then to the waiting room. By the way, that room is aptly named. Was seen by another person who was kind and understanding for info. Then we went to wait. There were 6 of us. 3 with a cold or flu. And elderly lady in a wheel chair and my wife and I. We sat there, all 6 of us for 2 hours and a half. No one came out to check on us, give us any information, nothing. The lady in the wheel chair was cold so I went to the office and reported this, and a young lady brought her a warm blanket, that was nice. About two hours in the lady in the wheel chair needed the rest room, so I reported this to the lady in the room who took our secondary information. I have no idea if she was ever taken to the restroom because I had had enough. Two and a half hours and no one was seen by a doctor that was in that waiting room. My wife went to the rest room and came back and said it had urine on the floor. I went to the reception desk twice, once to ask if there actually WAS an ER doctor even there and to express my aggravation of the wait and that no physician had seen any of us. I told her I would wait another 30 minutes , but my wife said, lets leave, this is ridiculous. I went back to reception and informed a lady, who by the way said if you want to leave maybe you should. Then had the audacity to ask me to wait 5 minutes or so, so I could sign some sort of form. I informed her that I had waited long enough. Then I suggested to her that this building would be a great place to start a hospital. I will not be back to your hospital. We went to CCMH in Parkersburg and was in a treatment room in 10 minutes. I just thought you might want to see what patients see when they visit."
