"After being tested extensively to find out why my adrenal glands weren't functioning by my endocrinologist in CA, I was diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency and told to wear a medic alert bracelet, put on daily low dose cortef and instructed that if I couldn't keep the medication down due to a illness to get to a ER for a injection of my medication. In Morgantown I was sent to a endocrinologist at wvu endocrinology. I was taken abruptly off my medicine without monitoring and ended up declining. Asking for a second opinion out of desperation, I was referred to another doctor in this group who was biased and rude. I agree with the other reviews saying a 0 would be more accurate.!"
"After getting blood work done for my new patient appointment, Dr Perini told me to "lower" my dose to 80mg (I had only been taking 50mg before this). I sent a MyChart message and she never responded. She took weeks to call in my prescription and when she did it was for an auto-injector which I never asked for and is much more expensive then a regular vial. I've been calling constantly and the people answering the phones do not know what they're doing and I still don't have the correct prescription for a medicine I rely on taking every week."
"Extremely unprofessional place…they judge you for your weight they don’t respond professionally Melissa Phillips an her nurse are extremely hateful was told to do ultrasound did it then refused to speak to me cause I had my pcp set it up. Why should it matter who set it up? Just do your job!! Would never recommend this place"
"I never leave Google reviews, but I thought for this case I should. I agree with another one of the reviews if I could give zero stars I would. I was referred to Dr. Rico for low thyroid results that were taken three times by my PCP. As soon as he entered the exam he was rude and dismissive. Basically said Mon Health thyroid standard was different than WVU, and I was normal. He said my PCP needs to do his job and try to figure other causes before being sent to me. Also, he said my problems were sleep apnea and being overweight. Notified patient advocate and told my experience. Just received a response from them and sided with him. If you have a choice on who to see for your thyroid, don't choose Dr. Rico. Unless you wanted to be treated rude and not provided any answers for several low thyroid readings. By the way, he teaches at the university. I am sure he is teaching his students how to be rude and not help patients that are seeking answers."
"If I could give them 0 stars I would. I’m currently pregnant and they are supposed to be managing my thyroid. My TSH spiked way too high and it was dangerous to my pregnancy. I called them multiple times across 3 days to be seen to adjust my medication and bring my levels down to a normal and safe range, fully expressing the need for urgency. My calls and messages went unanswered for 3 days. My OB at Mon General was a god send and called them until they fit me into another doctors schedule. Crazy how I couldn’t get a call back in 3 days but my OB got a response right away. They then wrote me a prescription for 2 months and I notified them last week of the end of my prescription. I have messaged them consistently for 4 days now letting them know I only have a couple of synthroid doses remaining and I have yet to get a refill. What kind of doctors office allows a pregnant woman to go untreated with a dangerously high thyroid level and then refuses to refill a prescription in a timely manner….it’s been 4 days….. knowing I do not have enough medication? Last message I received from them stated that the doctor will review my labs when he can and when that time comes, I am responsible for reminding them to refill my prescription……even though I’ve been asking for a refill since last week and stressing the fact that my medication is about to run out!!!!! This department is so unprofessional and full of condescending staff that truly do not care about their patients at all."
