I wanted to go to Lookout Mountain, but there’s some kind of Iron Man cycling thing going on, and I can’t get this big @$$ truck there. Oh well, there’s always next time"

"This welcome center has a lot of travel guides and booklets which is nice. The restrooms could definitely use a remolding and they are small. Neatest thing is it's on an island in the middle of the river. Was disappointed to see that it says no overnight parking in the car area, but I had to take my chances as I had no where else to stay the night and I had planned to leave Chattanooga and stay here. Luckily nobody did interrupt me and I pulled out in the morning."

"A rest area that lives up to the title!! Quiet, with plenty of space to get out and stretch your legs or take a few moments to sit and eat a meal. Visitors center is very nice. The attendant, Kelly, was in a single word :: WONDERFUL:: Kelly grew up in the area and it shows how much he loves it! He knows every secret spot, lists of ‘if you like that, then you’ll love this’ ideas, complete with travel guides and maps, custom marked for your travels and stops. Bottom line: Informative. Friendly. Relaxing and, dare I say, peaceful."
