"I was diagnosed with type 2 mid October. My a1c was 9.1 and fasting blood sugar of 171. My PCP referred me to mountain state so I went. I was told that I COULD NOT control diabetes without meds and was immediately TOLD I need to take metformin. This, without out the NP even considering any other options. Well, it's been a little less than a month and my Blood Sugar levels are consistently on average around 100 all day. First thing in the morning, I'm at 85 and after lunch I might go up to 110 max. I'm sorry, but it seems like they're only interested in getting the ins. kickback and don't even CONSIDER anything else but meds and making money of sick people. Patients WILL do their own research. Maybe this place should too. And my numbers got that low STRICTLY by diet change!"
"Would give zero stars if I could. I was told David Pickering and Dana Cruise took classes at the Mayo Clinic for diabetes and was not informed that those classes were only for five weeks total. I only saw David Pickering 2 times in a year and a half, I was treated by a PA, Dana Cruise. She has acted unprofessional in the last few visits i had. She dismissed my many other conditions and insisted I was young so I should be "healthy" even though I have chronic health conditions I can not help. She also tried to keep me at that office by childishly claiming every endocrinologist would just blame me for not taking care of myself despite that being all I do. This is not how a professional doctor's office is meant to operate. I was put on 5 different medications at once to treat my A1C of 12 and higher without any results. I was given these meds without warning of the terrible side effects they could have. Dana tried to pressure me into using an insulin pump before she even thought of checking my blood sugars with a continuous monitor, I had to be the one to fight for that. There have been so many times their office has messed up my prescriptions at the pharmacy only to blame it on me for not picking them up despite that being false. Because I left their office, they are now causing issues for me at my new diabetic doctor's office because the insurance won't pay for my meter that has been the only thing to lower my A1C to 9.5. I am now screwed for three months because of these hack physicians. I will be filing an appeal against their claims. Do not go to them if you value your health. And never trust a doctor who has his own book framed in every room of this filthy office that can't even afford curtains."
