"Great food. The tacos are fantastic and the sauces are good! The service is bilingual and caring. They've a great drink selection. Wheelchair accessibility is possible but tricky. Vegetarians will be okay."
"The steak of the kids burger was as hard as wood! My son or I could not chew it. As you can see the guac had 0 taste and was probably pre made. Not sure how this place can have that great of reviews!"
"Standard Tex Mex fare, the service was great, food was good and extremely well priced (we got out for under $40 with two dinners, cheese dip and a beer). The patio is lovely!"
"Decent Mexican food but not great. Guacamole tastes like instant mix. Meat is a bit too chewy. I remember this place used to be much better several years ago. I guess thats life."
"Went as a single diner at lunch. Warmly greeted and seated easily. Service was attentive and friendly as it goes. No small talk. I ordered a chicken quesadilla which was quite different than many I have had in my dining life. Not crispy, not grilled. On the good side, not greasy. Loaded with fresh peppers and tomatoes and chicken that was just okay and supposedly “ fajita” but definitely boiled . The side plate was a mountain of soupy refried beans, rice that was just average. Shredded iceberg, “guacamole sauce” definitely watered down to flavorless . Finally a dollop of white that was to portray sour cream . The portions were enormous. The salsa was for my tastes, bland and milder than mild. Chips -crisp very yellow, very thick. Totopos? I asked for additional “ heat” as In chopped Serrano peppers or habanero salsa. Received a bottle of low grade habanero sauce. I have eaten at El Potro once before and my visit was on the some level of just “average”. Service is friendly and attentive . The restaurant is clean. I can say the menu is overwhelmingly laminated and massive with photos . So with any luck, one might pick a better experience. No suggestions are offered."
