McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks 190 Marietta Street NorthWest, Atlanta, GA 30303

"This McCormick & Schmick's is located in downtown Atlanta adjacent to Centennial Park and the CNN Center. I am not a big fan of chain restaurants, but I had a few hours to kill before my flight so I figured I would chill there and get a bite to eat. It was about 4pm on a Friday and I was the first one in the dining room that day. I waited about 5 minutes at the host stand and finally had to go to the bar to ask the bar tender if someone could help me. Someone arrived right after that to seat me. I ordered the clam chowder and the seafood cioppino fettuccini. The bread came out quickly and was hot and fresh. The clam chowder was hot but had a strange tangy taste. I ordered and was charged for a bowl of clam chowder, but the bowl was more like a cup, to be honest. The seafood cioppino came out looking amazing, but sadly did not taste anywhere near how good it looked. The sauce was watery not savory. I was given no shell bowl to discard the shells. The meal cost $54, with no alcoholic drinks. This restaurant lists itself as 'fine dining' on Google Maps and other sites. I cannot agree with that label. Unfortunately, I will be rating this restaurant with 3-stars, primarily because of the taste of the food."

"I recently dined at McCormick's; unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. When I sat down, I noticed several issues with the food and the service. Firstly, the glasses at the table were dirty, with visible lipstick stains on the rim. This is an oversight that one would not expect from a restaurant of McCormick's reputation. Clean and presentable tableware is a fundamental expectation. The jumbo shrimp I ordered needed to be deveined, an introductory presentation standard. Attention to detail in the kitchen is crucial, and this oversight could have been avoided. The mashed potatoes I received were bland and lacked any discernible flavor. It starkly contrasted with the herb goat cheese mashed potatoes that accompanied a different meal at our table, which were notably more flavorful. It's disheartening to experience such inconsistency in the quality of side dishes. While the waitress was pleasant and accommodating, the service as a whole fell short of expectations. It took excessively long to receive new glasses, water, and food to the table. I expected a more efficient and attentive service for a restaurant that prides itself on offering quality food at higher prices. In conclusion, my visit to McCormick's was marred by subpar attention to cleanliness, a lack of consistency in food quality, and slower-than-expected service. A restaurant of this caliber should strive for excellence in all aspects to meet the expectations of patrons with discerning palates. I hope these issues are addressed to raise the restaurant's reputation for providing a high-quality dining experience."

"We are from out of town and when we went to visit family, this was the place they suggested we go for the best steak around. M & S did not disappoint! The filet was flawless! It was perfect. Our son in law said it was the best he’s ever had. Beautiful restaurant and wonderful service, too. Someone in our party had a tree nut allergy and our server was very attentive and careful. We had a stellar experience. They also have a couple options for a more private dining experience. Definitely making it tradition to dine here every time we come to visit our family!"

"The Google directions were accurate and led us directly into the valet parking deck which was $30 but well worth it in my opinion. (Parking in that area can be pretty hectic.) We were about 15 minutes late for our reservation but were seated pretty promptly. The hostess who greeted us was ok but our waitress made up for it. I don’t remember her name but she was awesome. She explained the menu when we had questions and our food and drinks arrived in a timely manner. We ha the margarita (7/10) and the MS Iced Tea (9/10) Lavender Haze (9/10) For the appetizer we had fried oysters (3/10)and the lump crab crake (8/10). The entrees we had were pretty good. The serving size was decent and everything had a good amount of flavor. The Chesapeak Shrimp (8.5/10). The Grilled Swordfish- the fish portion was small yet filling (9.5/10) The truffle mac & cheese -tasted better than it looked.(8/10) The lobster mashed potatoes- very flavorful (8/10). Overall, an positive experience and will definitely return."
