"I wish I looked at other options. No interest in my divorce case, did not understand finances and I needed help, many excuses of being on vacation and not being able to work on things, collected $5000 as a retainer and then asked for more money a month before the papers were signed, assured me that extra money will be returned, ended up taking 2,500 more and never provided receipt or accounting for the hours he spent on the case. When I questioned him about it, he said he looked at all the hours and I owed more than what he took, so basically implying go away or I will produce a document showing you owe me a lot more. Keep looking! There are compassionate, carrying lawyers out there. And I recently took divorce agreement to the lawyer in a different state, where I moved to, and all he could do was shake his head!
