For over 60 years, Smokey Hollow was a thriving black community and home to churches, restaurants, stores, and hundreds of residents. Urban renewal eliminated the neighborhood in the 1960’s, but the stories and history of the area lives on."

"Such a cool area to walk around in. It is across the street from Cascades Park. You can see the structures of the houses that stood in the old neighborhood years ago as well as the barbershop that was the center of the community. It really is a nice place to relax in as well."
