"The Senoia History Museum is a tribute to the preservation and promotion of local history. Lots of interesting artifacts dating from 1870 to current day. I learned that early settlers received land in Georgia through a land lottery, each given 202.5 acres of land. Knowledgeable docents give an excellent tour. Free but a donation is appreciated."
"Great experience, entrance is free (donations are accepted), and a great way to learn about the beautiful town of Senoia!"
"Very well organized and maintained. Helpful and friendly volunteers. Worth visiting."
"Maureen gave us an excellent tour and graciously stayed open a little longer for us. Visited Senoia after reading about it in the 111 Places in Atlanta book (and we're huge Walking Dead fans). The town had so much to offer in addition to Walking Dead memorabilia - such a rich history! Lovely town. We'll be planning a trip to stay in the bed and breakfast in the near future!"
"The Senoia Area Historical Society Museum is located in Senoia, 30 minutes east of Newnan. Its atrium and five rooms have been filled with antique pieces of furniture in dark hardwoods, and cabinets filled with mementos that help visitors discover life in Senoia over the ages. Surrounded by original plasterwork mouldings, the dedicated History Room contains teller windows from the Farmers and Merchants Bank that date to 1874. More recently, there is also a display dedicated to the torch relay of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, meaning that this museum space truly spans the full history of the region."
