"Stopped in to check out a camper , they were busy so a wonderful lady took us out to see the two campers we had on our list. Realizing later she was the finance manager she was so friendly and helpful. We saw both and she took us back for the salesman Clayton who was now available. "Wow. Simply the best experience making a purchase I have ever had in my life. I had never heard of Ashley’s Outdoors until three days ago. My wife and I were upon the verge of setting our divorce date shopping with three other dealers in Alabama. Clayton and Ashley’s saved our marriage and over $10,000!! After working with two dealerships, in Calera Alabama, I was given several “out the door” prices. One of them was unaware that other people can work a calculator and were padding each loan by $24 a month for the life of the loans! The other gave me a price and I felt it was still high. I was told “If you find an advertised price somewhere else we will meet or beat it.” I pulled up Google and ran a quick search, found the exact year and unit at Ashley’s and called to get a “out the door” price and see if the unit was available. Clayton quickly calculated the price, which was $10,000 LESS than the dealer in Calera, and said “Now let’s see if it is on site.” Fortunately, yes I mean fortunately, it had been sold and was being delivered. I thanked him for his time. Called the dealer in Calera and asked them to match the price. I was told since the unit at Ashley’s was sold they would not attempt to meet the price. Fair enough. Meanwhile my wonderful, beautiful, supremely intelligent wife took the liberty to see what else Ashley’s might have in stock. She located the perfect rig that met all our criteria that we had been looking for yet was out of our price range. She fell in love with it. I called Clayton, asked about it, he says it is on site! I said I want it. We have been pre-approved with our bank, have a letter and would love to come look at the unit this Saturday and we would buy it if everything was copacetic. I called my wife and she was thrilled. Clayton tested me at 10:39 am with disastrous news…the unit we wanted had a cashier’s check on it. He told me he would let me know if anything changed and I thanked him and said please do Back to the search and one day closer to the divorce date. We continued to try and work a deal with one more dealer in the state. They were very polite and accepting of our pre-approval letter. At 1:32 pm Clayton texted me again saying “Shoot me a copy of your banks approval.” I immediately sent him the approval and then called him. He stalled me on the phone for about 2-3 minutes and then asked if I still wanted the unit. Of course! My beautiful bride was in love with it! He asked for a deposit over the phone, I gave him my credit card number and BAM! We had the perfect unit at a price that blew the competition out of the water!!! We drove down today, Saturday, and went through the purchasing which was an easy process and drove away happy. It was a no frills, in and out process. We did not over pay for our camper and did not pay for any foolish services that other dealers “provide”. By “provide” I mean make you pay for. We paid for the unit, shipping and taxes. In and out!"
