Shorty's Pizza

"Best pizza in Atlanta! Incredibly delicious crust, lots and lots of cheese and pepperoni and red onions— The best we ever had— and Jeff knows his pizza because it is one of his favorites! Also, the person who took our order, and the person who checked us out of the register, were very pleasant and friendly. I only wish that we had tried Shorty’s Pizza years and years ago instead of going to other pizza places! Nail, it will be our only place to eat pizza. Great pizza, great people, and great service— the best in Atlanta!!"

"The photo doesn’t do the wings justice! This is a hidden gem that we stumbled upon after leaving Stone Mountain. We had a large party so we sampled quite a bit. The Risotto Cakes are must! Without a doubt the best bite… their wings seem to be oven able and grill - comes out feeling air fried (which it might be)… note, the place is older and could use an update; it does have more of bar feel to it; however it is very family friendly, service is great, again we had a large party (almost 20 people with half being kids)… from a food perspective the only negative was the beet salad; it was almost only arugula…"

"I ordered the Sly and the Family Stone Pizza for takeout. I showed up when they said it would be ready and was immediately greeted by a pleasant employee who smiled. I paid my bill, was offered red pepper, I accepted it, and was back home in around 5 minutes. This pizza was incredible. I added some mustard on top and it reminded me of one of their old pizzas that they used to offer. I would recommend this establishment to any pizza lover!"

"What a gem with an old school, hometown feel. This place has been on my radar for a year but we’ve just only recently had time to check it out and thank goodness we did. We were hoping to beat the traffic by arriving early (5pm) on a Friday but it filled up quickly! And for good reason! The service was great and the food was fantastic. Our pizza (The Cure) was so good that my husband and I polished it off. We haven’t enjoyed a pizza that much in years. My kids loved their personal pizza and chicken quesadilla. The s’mores pizza was good but too messy and the key lime pie was more sweet than sour (which was not our preference). I knocked a star because the wait for our food was exceedingly long - I understand that many people arrived AFTER we were seated but it shouldn’t take a family of 4 two hours to eat dinner at 5pm. We also ordered a cheese quesadilla but they brought out a chicken quesadilla. Because it took so long to receive our food, it was not feasible for us to send it back since my son was so hungry. Either way, we had a great experience and would return (just not on a Friday or weekend). Highly recommend!"
