"Professional and friendly customer service from the parts and service department...every time. They run a well oiled machine up there and get your vehicle in an out in a very organized manner. I've bought my last two trucks from Carl Black. I'm very happy with both the current and former truck, but I will say the buying experience was about the same as anywhere else. It always seems like they aren't telling you everything, hiding a card up their sleeve, and glossing things over.....but that is any dealership to be honest. Besides that, the sales department is also friendly and will go out of their way to take care of you."
"I was a walk-in customer, so no appointment. But the woman who waited on me got me serviced quickly (for a walk-in). I think I waited, comfortably, less than 90 minutes. She let me know that I was due for my 50k mile service and explained that I could defer part of it until my next oil change visit, which helped with the unexpected cost.. I expected to be there a couple of hours. Additionally, she advised me that I had enough points to get me a $150 credit on the services and she provided me a $10 off coupon. She didn't have to tell me any of that and I would have had no way of knowing so I very appreciated it. I had a great experience and will continue to bring my car to the Carl Black dealership in Kennesaw for service."
"I came in for a routine oil change and saw Jason Ellis, the usual attendant that I've been seeing for the past year. He informed me the wait would be about an hour and 45 minutes to two hours due to them being short staffed. He then asked if I wanted to wait in the lobby area to which I said yes. As an added professional and nice gesture, he escorted me to the lobby area and informed me he would be back to let me know when everything was finished. When the two hours approached, I asked Jason if he could give me a status update. He apologized for the wait and advised that two of the service workers left due to COVID 19. He said the wait would be another 40 minutes or so and also informed that he escalated the matter to management. When my service was completed, Jason came back to get me and as he was escorting me to my car, he apologized again and said there would be no charge for the service performed to compensate for the additional time I had to wait! I was shocked and amazed that he extended this awesome gesture to me!! I certainly did not expect that! I have to say, Jason Ellis, is by far, one of the absolutely BEST workers there! From the moment I was assigned to him about a year ago, he has provided EXCELLENT customer service! He has been very thorough with his explanations and has done his best to help me save money where possible! I'm always nervous when I go to the dealership in general, but every time I have gone, he has gone out of his way to create the best customer experience overall! I'm VERY pleased that Jason works for this company! He certainly deserves a 5-star rating!"
"My review focuses solely on the customer service experience. Despite not purchasing a vehicle from this location, I feel compelled to share my experience. I originally bought a 23 Colorado from another dealership on the other side of town, and it turned out to be the biggest piece of junk I've ever owned. One of the issues I faced was a battery drain. When I set up an appointment to have it looked at, the service representative came across as if I were a bother. They suggested leaving it overnight to see if it drains, but when they claimed the issue was due to an improperly connected battery terminal, I knew that wasn't the root cause. My internet research pointed to the radio attempting over-the-air software updates, causing a glitch. I specifically asked the representative to ensure auto-updates were on which he confirmed, but they weren't. So I was pretty irritated that it sat there for 2 days with no resolution. But at this point, it was late in the day and I was just ready to get mobile again. A few days later, my transmission almost failed, and the battery issue returned. Despite requesting to speak with the service manager, I received no response. I eventually drove it in and got a new service rep, Jason, who was the only positive aspect of my experience and the reason for an extra star. However, I was done with the truck and wanted it out of my life, even if it meant losing some money. Considering trading it in or selling it to them, I spoke to a salesman who seemed uninterested, and the general manager gave off a similar vibe. They offered to buy my truck back only if I purchased another vehicle from them, which wasn't ideal given my dissatisfaction with the Colorado and the Silverado options. As they wouldn't buy my truck outright, I took my business to Ram, where I got a very nice Ram truck with more options for 10k less, and they bought my problematic truck for my asking price (even knowing it was a lemon they accommodated me). The only positive was Jason's attentive approach in the service department."
"I’d give ten stars if I could! I want to start by saying this is the my first brand new car, and my first ever experience buying a car from a dealership. If this is your first time like me, or you buy cars all the time, I would highly recommend asking for Emmanuel Elder to help you find the car you’re looking for. Never once did I feel uncomfortable, intimidated, pressured, or flustered when on the lot or when going over pricing and whatnot. I told him my price point, and without hesitation or even asking, he found the PERFECT fit for me and my two boys, getting me the best possible price and deal. He was more than honest, and more than happy to help. I just hope he’s still there when I go back for my next new vehicle! I wish only the best for him and the whole Carl Black Team!
