"Brought in my late 80's model truck. Wanted custom exhaust installed (headers, pipes, and muffler I brought to them). Me and my dad were supposed to install, but his health wouldn't let us finish. When the job was completed it was $200 more than I was quoted. Not that big of a deal I did forget some gaskets, and according to mechanic the mufflers I brought would not fit. Said, "off set was wrong". When I drove the truck home the check engine light came on. Took time off work to bring it back up to see if it was an exhaust problem. It was, mechanic did not install O2 sensor (after he removed the old one). When I asked about this he told me wasn't a big deal it doesn't need emissions. He then quoted me another $200 to install the part he removed. I replied that didn't seem right to me, he caused the check engine light to come on he should fix it, and not charge me extra. After a back and forth for about 10 minutes, he agreed. Installed the O2 sensor. Thought everything was good, everyone makes mistakes.... Check engine light came back on. Took it to a different shop, and it's the O2 sensor. Also found 3 of the spark plug wires are touching headers. I would not recommend bringing anything 96 or older to this shop. Seems the knowledge and care is not on par with other shops in the area. Other than the work, great group of people; the front desk was very nice."
