Reviews
"The only drawback to Independence Park no restroom facilities or places to grill or BBQ. Otherwise nice place to chill."
"Such a good place for a jog! I freaking love this park. There’s is a place for the kids and barbecuing and really relaxing. I’ve always come here to really relax and meditate with nature and get into my higher self…"
"I took my dog out for a first visit there. I was a little hesitant because some negative rumors. However I think it is a hidden gem. It's a quaint but nice park. There is places for the kids to play, trails to walk, tennis court and tables to have a quiet picnic. The only thing I would say to visitors, "clean up after yourself". The park wasn't crowded when I went. Overall, I would this visit a 9."
"A park with much potential, with just a few key upgrades and essential maintenance. I love that it's so heavily wooded. The walking path is in good condition. The singular pavilion was clean, no trash laying about. There were no bathrooms whatsoever, and the rear half of the park was closed off. The playground is in good condition, but has a lot of carbon deposit on it (it needs a good pressure washing). Add a small bathroom building, pressure wash the playground, and maybe bull-doze half the parking spaces, and you'd have an amazing park here. As is, it's a nice quiet place to visit and eat a quick lunch, or take a lap or two around the walking path... Just make sure you pee before you come."
"This could be a very beautiful park, and it has the potential to be one. It's like this parm is "forgotten." However, the walking trail is amazing. There is no restroom so you are either forced to hold it or leave and use the convenience store restroom. It has plenty of shade."
