"I moved here from out of state and applied for Medicaid and emergency SNAP food assistance. I was told my case would be expedited and I would receive my benefits for SNAP within 7-10 business days. That was July 17th. It's now going on August 8th and I still haven't received anything or managed to get a call back from my caseworker or a supervisor after calling several times and leaving voicemails for both individuals. I am disabled and on a very modest income. So, this is very stressful and frustrating. In person, the experience was fine for turning in the nessesary initial paperwork and documents. The staff were friendly. Even so, I need results ASAP. I'm not sure what further recourse is available but this is terrible. I feel for anyone else who might be going through the same situation. Getting someone on the phone for any information seems to be a lost cause."
