"Very messy store. Overcrowded with merchandise. Barely get a cart around without shifting and bumping into things. Though staff are decent people the store could be better cleaned."
"This was a really nice Dollar General. Staff was friendly. As we were walking to the front of the store to get a buggy (We ended up buying much more than we intended), she pulled one out of the carts and steered it to us, sensing we needed one. At checkout, she was pleasant, fast and efficient. Nice market/ deli area that has fresh fruits, salad ingredients and fresh veggies. Impressive and, overall, well done!"
"Pretty good little Dollar General store. They have a decent selection, and it's actually a variety of different products that you don't see over and over again at its sister stores. Definitely have to give a shout out to the staff, they are courteous, polite, helpful, and dare I say, even cheerful during these depressing times. Also have to throw in there, their store actually seems clean, unlike some other stores that may have the same type of item. 4 stars for Scio, Ohio, Dollar General!!"
"At first we thought store was a blessing to this town. It allowed many to get away from the predatory pricing. arrogant management and poor quality of the only other store in town. The people at this DG are still always nice and they are courteous on the rare times when you have to make a return, that's not the issue. However since that time their prices have risen drastically, products on the shelves are frequently out of date or badly damaged. Worst thing is that they failed to maintain their property in any fashion that could be considered safe for OVER A YEAR and when major pothole damage occurred to my vehicle and others the predatory frauds they call their Loss Control Division have used every excuse and scam in the book to try to weasel out of paying for damage they caused. Since that time I have read quite a few major complaints of similar behavior by DG corp. regarding people being injured, both staff and customers, and being defrauded of their proper payment for injuries and costs. The company has had a massive number of lawsuits along similar lines. These people are not a responsible company and should not be allowed to do business in any area."
"I was just in this store a few hours back. I bought a balloon. When I was a little child my uncle tied 99 red balloons to a lawn chair a proceeded to fly away. The us government seen the lawn chair with Uncle Fred floating over a restricted air space. After giving uncle Fred a warning they proceededed to shoot his balloon chair down. After Uncle Fred's Balloon chair was shot down he proceeded to plummet to the ground at high speeds. After slamming to the ground Uncle Fred proceeded to die a slow agonizing death. Because of my uncle Fred's death I developed a irrational fear of balloons. While all my class mates were enjoying themselves at parties I was at home avoiding balloons. Anyways after going into this Dollar general to purchase bread for my dear old grand mother i proceeded to walk down the party aisle on accident where I was surrounded by balloons. After this experience I realized that I shouldn't be afraid of balloons anymore. THANK YOU AND YOUR STAFF. I already made a Facebook event page for a balloon party I'm throwing. It's almost as if I died and was reborn again as a new man. RIP Uncle Fred! You did not die in vain."
