Macado's

"I just deleted a 4-start review from 2 years ago. 5-stars this time Radford! We stopped for lunch and it was great. We ordered the BoBagger with some customizations, Tippecanoe and Tyler Too, and 2 Big Daddy's customized. No complaints at all. Onion rings are battered, tator tots are crunchy and the fries are thick and golden. Our waiter was wonderful and made sure he got all our customizations correct."

"The ONLY reason I even gave one star is because it’s required to. We went to Macado’s to have a drink and listen to karaoke. My husband was ready for another drink so he motioned for one of the bartenders, when she looked over, he just pointed his glass to let her know that he was ready. This very rude, unprofessional and disrespectful “bartender” came over, spoke to my husband very rudely saying “that’s a good way to get cutoff”. First of all, it was only his second drink. Secondly, he was not rude, demanding or anything even close to it. Lastly, my daughter and I are both bartenders, we have customers point to their drinks ALL the time! Another bartender who works with my daughter and I came over to say bye and ask your other bartender for contact information to corporate because they were being kicked out. Before she could even ask your bartender for the information, your bartender raises her voice and tells them that they need to get out. I didn’t witness their situation for being kicked out, so I can’t get involved with it. I would HIGHLY recommend that you schedule those two employees and your other male employee who was drinking alcohol and would then go behind the bar for some additional training! My husband and I frequently have Macado’s for dinner, but have decided that we will no longer be customers at this location!"

"Solid spot with a big menu, lots of food at a good price. I had the roast beef sandwich with onion rings and had left overs. Service was very good and nice place near downtown Radford and the University ."

"Wonderful American food establishment. We stopped by while visiting a good friend and I was intrigued by the fried pickle spears on the online menu. Very few restaurants offer spears. Normally only flaccid pickle chips. We had a party of three and we decided to sit at the bar. We were greeted by the bartender Ari who was so appealing with her exceptional service and inviting charisma. We made a special request with a custom cocktail recipe and she nailed it with ease. The food came swiftly, hot, and fantastic! The pickle spears were so good, in my top 3 of all time. I also ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos (Ari's recommendation) and they were top notch, top 2 of all time. We are going back for karaoke at 9 for some more good times. Make this a stop if you want some mouthwatering food, exceptional service, and good vibes."
