"really beautiful park. i love to walk here with my brother. sadly, when i am here alone, i am stopped by strangers. old men, trucks, doesn’t matter what kind of day. a truck came up behind me and shouted to me when i was walking on a rainy day. i don’t always feel safe here. women and girls, please be careful."
"Before making reservations here, I wasn’t sure if this campground was operating because of information I found online. While making the reservation, I talked to a woman on the phone (the owner) and she said it was $25 a night for a full hookup. They only accept cash or check and you pay when you get there. I wasn’t assigned a reservation number but the owner said assured me I had a spot booked and it’s just her and her husband that work there. When I got there, I was assigned site 29. Overall, I was looking for something close to downtown Point Pleasant and this was a good fit. There is no wifi and cell service was a little spotty (I had 1-3 bars at times for cell service). There’s a park with a trail that you can walk or bike around. There’s also a fort nearby that you can check out. Even though this campground didn’t have all the bells and whistles like some of the other once’s I’ve stayed at, you can’t beat the price."
"Excellent CG. Apparently owned by the city so its right next to a great play ground, splash park and lake for fishing. 1 mile paves walking trail all the way around the lake was nice. Looks like they used to rent kayaks and paddle boats at 1 time. Laundry on site says closed but it was the weekend. Great park for only $25/night with full hookups 50/30 amps water and sewer. Would recommend to everyone."
"We really enjoyed our get away weekend. It was our first time here and our grandchildren loved it. Judy was so super nice and it was well kept. The playground was good for the grandchildren. We will definitely be back. Everyone was friendly just don't expect a huge area in your campsite a little close but it is still great place"
"We loved this Campground! My dog & I got up at dawn & walked the track around the lake almost every morning for at least 3 to 4 miles. The place is beautiful! It's a walk i would never get tired of. The shower's are nice & clean. The laundry room is good size & has two washer's & two dryer's, which are also very clean. All the staff were so nice and courteous. And except for the dirty geese on the lake & around the walking track, the place was emaculent. Hey and that's just nature. We would definitely visit Krodel Park again."
