"Mountwood Park is a lot of things. There are a lot of hiking trails, a lake for fishing and boating, a museum for the town of Volcano, and a public park with pavilions and play spaces for children. There is ample parking and bathroom facilities. I've only been here once to hike, but I intend to return a number of times to further explore all it has to offer."
"Love this park, the more I visit, the more I discover - not only the lake but a myriad of awesome trails. I've hiked nearly half so far, all are challenging to a degree with woodland views, tiny streams, and a top of the hill grassland area (Savannah Trail). Keep note not all shortcuts and connector trails are marked, so paper map will help a great bit. You can find maps near the boat launch/bathroom/museum parking lot."
"This is an absolutely wonderful park! The trails are maintained very well, the roads are nice, and there's plenty of camping spots! We have started in the lakeside cabins and they are very nice. It's a great place to spend the day!"
"I like to take the kids here and do a picnic and walk around. One year, we rented a camping site for my kid's birthday so that we could safely have a fire pit and woods and bathrooms and human help. Beautiful park. Easy access."
"Amazing host Randall made sure we had everything we needed :) checked up on us and helped us find the store in the area. We've been traveling and we're unfamiliar. The park is clean and well kept. The bathrooms and showers are awesome!! Campsites have water and trees! The cabins are clean, cute and comfy with bunkbeds"
