Guilford Lake State Park Beach

"Very nice lake swimming beach. The sandy beach area is very wide, so even on a busy day you should not feel very crowded. There is little to no shade except for some trees or a shelter that are not close to the beach. So be prepared and bring a beach umbrella and chairs. There is a picnic area near, but there were not many tables at the beach . A small playground is very close to the beach. I am giving it four stars because the rest room could be allot better maintained and there could be a few more picnic tables available. But then there is no cost to using this beach. So I am only knocking off one star. We spent allot of hours here letting me son play in the sand and swim while we were camping at the nearby park."
