"It's a nice campground for a weekend getaway. Secluded and peaceful, there are trails to bring your horses and ride them."
"One of my favorite places to camp and ride. Trails are well marked and maintained. Absolutely beautiful. No cell service so it's perfect for when you just want to unplug and relax. Bring plenty of water. Restrooms are clean."
"I love this place, but it is far off road and no cell service. Another campers pit bull got loose and bit me when I tried to stop it from killing my dog. It broke out of a tent. They tied it up usually on a super heavy log chain. Prob not the kind of dog that should be camping. I also hate when people run generators after dark. I don't want to hear it while enjoying a camp fire in the woods. Get some batteries and solar panels so we can hear the birds. The bathrooms are clean an DC park is checked frequently by staff or rangers."
"I would like to start out by saying that this is truly a lovely area. I have AT&T and had no reception. I climbed the hill that is behind the pond and about half way up I got service. I camped alone with my dog. I woke up several times from several vehicles that stopped in front of my sight and shined flash lights in my van. They couldn’t see me because I had curtains up and I use a UV coating to keep anyone from seeing in. I left the sight at 12:30 in the morning and drove home. The cards you have to fill out and put in your window really alerts the people that are curious as to how many are present. Use deep woods spray many ticks.there are 2 ponds. I didn’t get a bite."
"For a FREE campground there isn’t much to complain about. I’d like to see better bathrooms installed and more signs to each part of the park with donations. Great for small campers, horses/trailers and primitive camping."
