"Just finished our stay at the Trail 10 House and we had a GREAT time! Leo is the best. He knows every trail on and off the map, where to eat (and where not to), and just about anything you might want to know while staying in Williamson. He even left a box of bakery cookies as a surprise when we arrived. He is just nice, genuine, and true. I called him when I had a question about a trail and he got me straightened out. If you run into trouble on a trail and give him a call--he will get you out of a jam! The lot next to the house is not huge, but adequate with overflow parking down the street. We were able to fit a 2500 regular cab long bed with a 16ft trailer and a 4 door short bed 1500 with an 8 foot trailer no problem. There was even room for our 4 atvs and 1 sxs (you could squeeze in a few more sxs if you needed to). The firepit in the lot was just fine with big stumps and plastic chairs that we borrowed from the mud room (don't forget to bring firewood). Trailhead is a couple of hundred feet down the road (trail 10, duh). However, I would recommend taking 4th/52 southeast out of town for a couple of miles and get on the trails that way--just a little more direct if trying to get to devil anse or matewan. Ask Leo about the fossil bed on trail 29. The house is a lot bigger than the pictures show. 10 foot ceiling throughout. There is a mudroom, a front room with 2 daybeds and picnic table, a living room with a comfy couch, dining room with a daybed in addition to the dining room table, large kitchen, bathroom, and 2 bedrooms with a queen in each. There was a space heater in each room that kept the whole place toasty. There is good wifi in the house and a smart tv (living room) with almost every subscription service you could want. There are 3 security cameras in the parking area so you can see your rigs from inside the house via a monitor in the living room. Kitchen has everything you need. Leo provided plenty of clean towels and linens. water is HOT! Only issue we had (and it wasn't really an issue) was the diverter on the tub leaked a bit and so shower water pressure was a little low--Leo's already on it! I do want to say that this is an older house and that you should expect older carpet, wallpaper, and furniture. While the rest of the group didn't notice anything, my wife (who is very sensitive to smells) did notice a faint smoke/cat smell. Not a problem---just an older house. We paid $90/night in March 2020. The house is a perfect trailhouse! If it's okay with Leo, we would LOVE to come back next year! Thank you so much!"
