"Came on a prepo from Southern Cali. To assist with wildfires. The folks here have been quite pleasant"
"I loved it! Great backpacking trails and yes it is some pretty rough terrain especially with a 65 lb ruck on your back but hey that's some good conditioning if SHIFT right? I would totally do it again and certainly recommend it to beginners and pros alike. Check it out for yourself!"
"This is a review of Archers Fork Loop Trail in particular, which is located northeast of Marietta, OH. To get to the trailhead, you'll be taking several narrow gravel roads, many of which, unfortunately, are unmarked. You may want to take an SUV or other high-clearance vehicle to get there. The trail itself is pretty well marked by (as of October 2014) yellow blazes. The trail is pretty strenuous because of number of elevation changes along the way. View the photos to find a link to my trail map."
"The area is gorgeous, but like some other reviews have stated, the google maps team needs to figure out how to actually get anywhere inside the park. The HQ is miles from where maps.google took me. This issue needs to be addressed, our national parks should be easily accessible to everyone, not just locals who know where everything is already."
"No clear signs to help you find the main entrance. Is there a main entrance? The website doesn't give you a map of their 300 miles of trails. I was driving around what felt like people's private property up gravel roads on very steep hills. I never did find it exactly. I ended up driving back down and out of Murray City to the only sign I did see about a trail head, but that also lead no where. I ended up getting out to walk around on the gravel roads and found that someone had dumped their dead dog in a trash bag on the side of the road. I could smell it about 20 feet away. The vultures had taken it out of the bag and were pecking at it. I was hoping to spend the day out enjoying nature but instead I drove around way too much and ended up leaving more disheartened than when I went in. I gave in and drove back to Hocking Hills Old Man's Cave which is very beautiful and clearly marked, but as always overrun with smokers and tourists. Disappointed in Ohio's hiking options."
