"Usually good food but my lobster bisque was just barely warm. I had tried to call them for an hour to place a to go order. Because it was the last 90 minutes they were open they apparently stop answering calls. Not cool."

"Waited almost an hour, when the food came it was cold & burnt. Not even the french fries were edible. One of the worst, if not the worst, eating experiences I've had in huntington. Yes it is larger on the inside than it looks. The server was very hospitable and very polite. I feel he did his best. Even offered to exchange, but waiting another hour for more burnt food didn't sound like a good time. The sauces were very good to the point of excellent but everything was so hard dipping it in the sauce didn't moisten it enough to make it edible. Oh and lastly it was $22.50 for a popcorn shrimp "meal" and it was one of the cheapest "meals" on the menu. Their prices are competitive & I don't complain about price often but besides the 1 hush puppy the 3 shrimp and the one French fry I ate none of it. $22.50 for air and coke just seems a little expensive to me."

"My girlfriend has been telling me about Jewel City Seafood for months. We finally had the chance to get some take out last weekend. I went inside to get it and was surprised it is more Cafe style than nice restaurant style. It is nice, comfortable, and quaint. But, I was then very pleasantly surprised by the delicious food! I had the rainbow trout and scallops with baked potato, beans&rice, and slaw. She had cod with slaw and green beans. Two big meals for $52. I loved all of it. Both fish and scallops were cooked perfectly. The scallops had that "crisp for fish" texture with good flavor. The rainbow trout and cod each had their own distinct taste, rather than being "too fishy" like you would normally get at this price. I definitely recommend giving this place a try. I look forward to dining in and enjoying their very cheap daily specials!"

"[[Wed.6.Sept.2023]] My wife & i was traveling thru this area and decided to stop here for lunch on our travel north. If no parking is available out front, you can go thru back alley area into there gravel parking lot which is abt 2bldg’s down from the restaurant, be careful driving into the gravel lot there is some depressions in the lot area. Once entered into restaurant it was a clean, nice setup with seafood decor, we was taken to our table within a minute, Benches with Tables are setting up Middle with a wall divider between customers with Tables & Chairs setting around outside walls, our waiter was a great guy he was continuously taking care customers and doing great job at that. I ordered the Wednesday Special which was pound of Fried Shrimp with Cocktail Sauce and 2sides which was OnionRings and Fried Green Tomatoes. Waiter brought some delicious Hushpuppies while we waited on our order, which did not take long at all for our order to come to our table. My order was prepared and cooked correctly, the entire order was straight out “dang gone” delicious. Do not pass this Seafood Establishment up if in this area!! Pricing i will give it $$ and that includes a good tip as well."

"As soon as you walk into this place you feel like you're close to the ocean... The smell inside says seafood... You can also buy souvenirs and fresh seafood from here as well to take home and cook... I ordered mahi-mahi I thought the portions were quite small for the price I think it could have been a bit bigger with the fish but otherwise it was very flavorful and the service was good and the atmosphere was nice and I also bought a tie-dye Jewel City seafood t-shirt for my beautiful fiancee."
