"We visited here with a party of 8 people. Our server was polite and attentive (Elijah). We wanted to have red wine with our pizza , but they said they were out ( even though it is offered on the drinks menu). Salad lettuce was not fresh , but the pizza was good. Wet floor signs and mops sitting around on the floor , gave the restaurant a seedy feel. Average dining experience, nothing special."

"The first time me and my husband went here it was great. Service and all. The second time we were so disappointed. We got our drinks and ordered our food and no one came back until we got our food and then we never seen anyone again. We eventually did get our bill. They were cleaning as if it was closing time and it was 6pm and it said they didn’t close until midnight. My husband actually got my refill himself because the pop machine was right by our booth. Lol. The garlic bread is so good. But the potato pizza left more to be desired. My husband did like his buffalo chicken pizza. There was also a table down from us who had to go get someone to actually come take their order."

"My partner and I walked away from Pizza Cottage calling the establishment Pizza Tent because the new name better reflected the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere. As soon as we entered the building, a delicious aroma hit our noses. We were excited as we waltzed through the aisles adorned with generic pizza restaurant decor. Service was slow, but the place was busy. We ordered the jalepeño poppers, which were underwhelming. They came to our table lukewarm and weren't crispy. They tasted like boxed jalepeño poppers from the frozen aisle at the grocery store. Dare I say, Sonic has a much stronger popper game. Next, we ordered one personal pizza each. My partner got a Mexican pizza, which was just okay. It tasted just like a burrito from Taco Bell. I got the loaded baked potato pizza. It was very simple. The crust was thin and the flavor was as expected. Neither pizza wowed us, yet, the pizzas were somehow still the best part of our meal. We topped off our meal with a dessert pizza. If Gordon Ramsay filmed an episode of Kitchen Nightmares at Pizza Cottage, the entire 30 minute episode could have been Ramsay scraping off the sugar pile from the top of the dessert pizza. The toppings actually formed a pile, with a heaping one inch tall pile of brown sugar and cinnamon in the middle of the pie. The flavors were overpowering and one note.it was literally just brown sugar and cinnamon on crust. There was so much sugar, it was like I was biting through a pile of sand. After a faux pas with our check, we left the restaurant feeling simultaneously hungry from the mismatched portion sizes and ill from the dessert pizza. There are plenty of better pizza places in Athens. Unless you are a dad who wants to watch the football game and throw back a few Coronas while your kids eat cheap pizza, I would not recommend this place."
