"Informative and great piece of Detroit history. Guide Jerry P was really knowledgeable and friendly. Great tour, something fun to bring older kids or car enthusiasts to when visiting Detroit"
"The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant is both a historical site and a museum. Dating back to 1904, it's where the Ford Model T was created and produced, among other things. In current times, there are 65 or so classic cars (mostly Ford) on display. I took the guided tour, which lasted about two hours, because I wanted to hear the history of the plant and the cars inside. You can also opt for the self guided tour if you prefer to move through at a faster pace. Overall, it was an interesting tour and was worth the visit."
"I had a company event here and it was great. A window to the past, highlighting the rich history of automobile manufacturing in Detroit. You walk in the footsteps of the original factory workers on the museum's old wooden floors where rows of historic Ford automobiles line the causeway. Highly recommended!"
"This was a really fun visit. Staff were very friendly, the tour guide was engaging and had some good humor. One issue was air conditioning, as it is an old building, on a hot day you can break a sweat, we spent 1.5 hours there and could have spent an another hour if our kids allowed it. Interestingly, our kids werent as engaged, but me and my wife very much enjoyed it."
"If you are ever in the Detroit area and are a history buff or car enthusiast, you have to check this place out. This is Ford Motor Companyβs first assembly plant. The Model T was conceived here and initially launched at this location before moving production to another plant due to demand for the Model T. This place was saved from the wrecking ball by a group of individuals that saw the value in keeping a place like this around for others to see and experience. It really is amazing and the volunteers that work there really add to the enjoyment with the history information they provide. Very enjoyable experience."
