"Dr. Rivera and her right hand woman, Brooke, are great to deal with. More importantly, they skilled, knowledgeable and caring professionals. I admit to initially having concerns using a physician other than one board certified in plastics to perform my procedure. However, any concerns I had were immediately set aside after speaking with Dr. Rivera. Unlike many other physicians who are transitioning to cosmetic procedures - Dr Rivera is a surgeon by “day”. She listens to your concerns and lets you know exactly how she will address them. She doesn’t give unrealistic expectations, either. Brooke is also a wonderful right hand - running the office but also offering her own medical expertise as a trained surgical tech. On the day of my procedure there was also a nurse, but I sadly don’t recall her name. She was wonderful as well. The office is welcoming and everyone is kind - putting you at ease from the beginning. They are also extremely accessible - my questions/concerns by call and text were answered immediately. (And I mean right away!) I am right at 4 weeks post-procedure and I am already quite pleased with my results, which I expect to continue to improve over time. Like many surgeons, Dr. Rivera seemed to be focused on minimal opiate or opiate-like medications for patient safety, which is something I genuinely appreciate. I followed instructions to take my prescribed pain meds the first 24 hours but after this point Tylenol was all I needed to be comfortable- and my procedure was pretty extensive. I felt my comfort AND safety were definitely considered throughout the procedure and recovery. This is sometimes an overlooked point, so I wanted to give it special mention. "I had fantastic results with my procedure my stomach and waist are smaller. I also had a fat pocket on each hip that I did not like and they are now gone without having hanging loose skin.
