"Let's see, after browsing through South Carolina laws regarding gas pumps, it is illegal to leave a (running) unlocked car unattended, can not smoke while pumping, gas stations must have an auto-off mechanism for fuel levels, and the pumps must shut off at 30 gallons pumped. No where does it say that it is illegal to pump your gas and walk inside. If it spills, the customer is liable for cleanup. That's it! So, cashier who was SMOKING while fuel was pumping (oh, the hypocrisy), do not ever chastise another customer in public again, nor interrupt that customer while checking out to fill in your coworker with your opinion."
