"Did a lot of research before buying a log home package. Really enjoyed dealing with Southland's team and product. We purchased our home about 5 years ago. We made a number of modifications to the blueprint that we chose and went back and forth a number of times. Southland always accepted the changes and never charged us for it. Once constructed, we have not been disappointed. We use the home on weekends and find it a great getaway. There are several things I would have done differently if I were to do it again but those are personal choices we made."

"Southland Log Homes was very good to deal with as a company. They bent over backwards to help me complete my project. The challenge was selecting a contractor to do the work. Their list of approved contractors was just the beginning of a long drawn-out process. The contractor I first selected ended up walking off the job during COVID and stealing money from me. That was NOT Southlands fault. They also did not vouch for this contractor but I did get his name from them. After that nightmare I got another approved contractor to complete the work. It got done but was also a bit painful. Southland, on the other hand, was very responsive and took care of every issue I had very promptly. They sent additional materials when needed and replaced damaged items quickly. Since my job was a semi-custom design, they spent a great deal of time trying to get the final drawings right. I'm very pleased with how it eventually turned out."

Southland Log Homes created a great Log Home package that made the job of putting it all together much easier! "After hurricane Charlie we decided on building our dream home. We viewed homes from Florida to The Great Lakes area. The one thing that stood out among the others was Southland's homes (models and owners) had no water damage sweeping through the walls. This assumed me that the logs were sealed tight for an energy efficient home.I also went to the Atlanta Log Home Show which was wonderful for gathering information. It's been eleven years since we moved in, my wife had the pleasure of being in her home when she passed into Jesus' arms, our home was her happy place, mine also. This company was really great to work with, their support team assigned me a contact and he was so helpful in answering questions as they came up. I cannot say there was anything I didn't like in the building process and the eleven years I have been in the home. Would I use Southland again, YES, YES, and YES. While I am getting close to retirement and the kids are moving out, I believe I can still build another one.
