Shell 21 1st Street, Estill, SC 29918

"Before even entering or saying a word we were greeted with a “No bathrooms.” I understand that bathrooms can be out of order and the brusk tone didn’t bother me but I was curious if they were out of order or this shell station doesn’t have a bathroom. That peeked my interest and because I’m on a day trip to the beach I decided to do some digging. First off the gas station doesn’t show up on Apple maps which I thought was interesting. A quick google search brought up some very interesting insights. Apparently the bathrooms often don’t work. The type of announcement before even asking for a bathroom is also nothing new. Seems like a theme and I can’t imagine Shell would be too happy to hear this problem is still on going."

"NO STARS My husband and I just left this store. We were getting sleepy and both wanted a coke and something to eat. Oddly as my husband walked toward the door the attendant held onto the door as if to not let him enter. She was outside chatting with two odd looking characters. Attendant (loose term for this woman) told my husband there is no bathroom. My husband did not ask about a bathroom. He went in for a coca cola and something to eat. He did ask about coffee and she said no coffee. If you are headed through Estill drive a few more feet and spend your money at the next station. Could not possibly be worse."

"My wife and I stopped to get gas and use the restroom. The cashier said the restrooms were out of order and the systems was down but gas was available and working. I take trips through this area often. Within a 2 year time frame, I stopped here 3 times for gas and to use restroom. All 3 times the restroom was out of order. With that said, another lady was allowed to use it as we walked out. The cashier on this most recent visit locked the door and she had kids running through the store. I guess management will allow anyone to work and represent their business. Sorry, I will not be back and I plan to pursue this further."

"Will never stop here again! Filled up and attempted to use the restroom and buy a drink but was greeted with a crude sign on bathroom door that restroom wasn’t open according to “management”. Asked the lady behind the counter if there was a bathroom available and she didn’t even have the decency to look up to answer me, grumbled “no”. Never again will this Shell receive a dime of mine."
