Palmetto Primary Care Physicians

"I was recently diagnosed with diabetes. Trying to deal with that. Needed a primary care doctor. Called around. Call palmetto. Told me it was $160 for first visit and $109 for future visit. Seemed ok. They didn't really do anything since they did have my labs from trident. Prescribed meds that I needed and I payed my $160. 30 days later billed for another $85. Got run around from affinity services. Finally spoke with some in local office. Let me just say. Rude! Uncaring!she had a "pay it or else" mentality. Canceled future services from them."

"If I could give this place a zero I would. I was needing Fmla paperwork filled out it took them over two weeks to get it right. I gave the Dr specific instruction for the missing information and she still couldn’t follow instructions. No one gets back to you when you call. This doctor also looked at me crazy for taking a medication made for my disease. “I have never used that” This place is awful."

"Would not recommend to my worst enemy to go to this practice. Unorganized and do not listen to patients. The first doctor I saw here told me I had an eating disorder and basically said 'good luck' turns out if he would have just listened to me and sent me in the right direction I would have found out sooner that I have a pituitary gland / adrenal gland disorder which caused me to drop weight to a deathly number. Not to mention their billing department is trash and bills insurance incorrectly. Edit: I also went in for a CT of abdomen and a halter monitor to be put on. They put the halter monitor on before the CT and had to remove it for obvious reasons and then NEVER asked if I was pregnant or when the date of last period was. Found out a few days later I was pregnant. That negligent malpractice right there."

"Very disappointed with their service anymore. Ever since Dr Thompson left, the office went to hell. I had 3 different Nurse Practicioners and only Jilian could help. I left 5 messages for Carolyn Rines and on the patient portal a message and one message to the medication refill department in a 2 week period AND NO ONE got back to me yet. I have been out for 2 days of one of my medication and no one seems to care over there anymore. I definitely cannot recommend that office anymore!!!!!"

"Had an appointment for 10am, directions on GPS were a little confusing so I called the office to help me find the office. I arrived at 10:07 am and was told they would not be able to see me because I was 7 mins late. The normal practice is A 15 minute grace period. It's A 3 story building so I had to wait on the elevator as well. I've never been treated this way, especially when I even called the office for help finding it as A new patient they should've been more understanding. Instead I was met with A receptionist with A bad attitude and she went and got who I assume was the doctors assistant. They were both equally rude and stated and I quote "WELL MAAM I CANT MAKE HER SEE YOU" (her being the doctor). Very poor treatment and felt as if they were looking down their noses at me and didn't value me as A patient or care to lose me as A patient so I took my business elsewhere. I do not recommend this practice at all!"
