"I should have read the reviews before I decided to use them. I had an MRI on Friday, and I had the results posted on the patient portal. I called and left 2 messages and actually spoke to someone on the second day instead of the phone just ringing and no on picking up. The 3rd day, I just broke down an made a follow up appointment because no one would call me back or even answer the phone. I'm getting my records and leaving."
"Ms. Colleen Boyd and her staff is fantastic. She always listens intently, always takes feedback and always leads with the final outcome in mind."
"My insurance sent a referral on August 31st. I called September 7th to schedule my appointment and spoke with Hope when I selected the option to schedule a new patient appointment. I was told that this wasn’t enough time for the referral department to have verified that my insurance would be accepted and the reason for my appointment would be covered. (Not sure how the latter can be determined before I’m seen?) I was told by Hope to except a call on the 14th or 15th because it takes them a week to do this. I called back on the 8th be had I realize it had been more than a week, so I wasn’t sure what the hold up was. Again, I selected the option to schedule a new patient appointment. This time, I was told by Amanda that my referral hadn’t been received, so I needed to call my insurance company and request that they sent it again so I do. My insurance company faxed it and tells me to call the office back in an hour to confirm it went through this time. I call back and, after listening to all the menu options, select the option to speak with someone in referrals. I get a voicemail which says that someone will return my call in 24 to 72 hours. Guess who STILL hasn’t gotten a call back?"
"What an awful experience and I never even made it to be a patient. I’ve been trying to see Dr. Carlile since April to establish care. I’ve called this office twice in April and six times in may. They do not return phone calls. Sometimes when you call they’ll even hang up on you. They stated I needed a referral which I obtained may 10th and that they would reach out to me when the referral was placed. I knew they wouldn’t reach out because they don’t even have the decency to return phone calls. I verified with MUSC that the referral was sent. I reached out again to Charleston neurology associates. As per usual, the first time I called they hung up on me. When I finally got through it was with Hope who I’ve spoken to in the past. Hope told me the referral was not sent. Then she said she would connect me to the referral department. She connected me to diagnostic imaging and radiology. I called back and asked to speak to the office manager as this customer service is frustrating. She told me the office manager wasn’t in. I give up. Becoming a new patient at a neurologist should not give you a migraine. Don’t even bother with this place. Dr. Carlisle could be the best physician, but his office staff is ruining his reputation."
"The care and the lack of follow up on multiple messages left for results of test is what really grinds my gears. My mom started off with NP Woods and then she was out for personal leave. Dr. Carlisle is great. But the nursing/cma staff that are supposed respond to messages, they drop the ball all the time no matter what day, week or month it is. I am really considering taking my mom out of SC to get better healthcare. This is ridiculous. Roper physicians referring their patients to this group is really sad and thats where my next complaint will be sent. Almost a month for an x-ray report. UPDAYE: I called the office 9/30/21 for xray results. I finally recieved a response from the cma on 10/11/21. Just unacceptable."
