"Dr. Cook did my laparoscopic hysterectomy yesterday and she was amazing. I’m currently on day 2 and feeling great. I am a little sore , but no severe pain. Dr. Cook has good bedside manners and really cares about her patients. I gave a 5 star because Dr. Cook is the person treating him . I have only one problem and this is with Dr. Cook nursing assistant or nurse. I’m not sure who the African American young lady is , but she needs lesson on compassion to Dr. Cook patients . This is just my opinion. Please know I am an African American. Thanks Dr. Cook!!"
"I was in pain because of a cyst and had obvious scar tissue from a previous surgery (an emergency surgery so it's not tiny) and told her how I felt tugging and that I needed to be opened up. She told me that I had an infection, prescribed me antibiotics, and tried to recommend an IUD. In response to this I mentioned how painful my periods were already and asked why that would be the next step. Also addind that my husband was snipped and I had never had kids. Wouldn't that cause me even more pain? She said that she has to go through certain steps with insurance companies. There was no concern and even my NP at the time questioned why she would recommend that. 3 years later I went to the ER because of excruciating pain and received a referral and then realized that's the only reason that I went to her in the first place. I did research and I went to Dr. Martin Jr. and his staff tracked the growth of my cyst and I was in surgery a few days later. If it wasn't for him and his staff I would think she was the standard. Learning lessons for me. Do your research and don't always go to referrals. Just because they're a female gyno doesn't mean that their ears work better than a male's or that they're more compassionate."
"I had a baby here 3 weeks ago I love all there doctors and I love how they listen to you when something seems off and they work to find out what's going on."
"You’re amazing, thank you for saving my life tonight. I’ll be sure to get an appointment set up with you for follow up. I wouldn’t be here without you and the amazing team at Summerville medical tonight. Thank you all so much."
"My very first visit with Dr. Cook was a sterilization consult. I was ready to be met with resistance due to my childfree status, but the first thing she asked me was if I knew what kind of procedure I was interested in. I was over the moon. Everyone in the office was kind and professional, and Dr. Cook went over the procedure I wanted with me and was impressed that I'd done my research before coming in. That's all it took to decide on her as a permanent gyno for me. I highly recommend her and Women's Health Partners to anyone in the market for a new OB-GYN."
