Unique Kids Child Development Center

"I am writing this review as an educator, and concerned consumer. Total transparency, since they only communicate by one-sided text messages, then I am going to say my peace right here! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO CARE FOR CHILDREN!. My grandchildren started with them Monday. We recieved a phone call at 4:45 stating someone needed to come get the children. I responded and said my son is on the way. Mind you they do not close until 6 pm. Then we started receiving cryptic texts about one of the children and the ride from school to the center. Again, we are talking about a 4 year old whose had just experienced their first day of school and had NEVER been on a school bus!. When my son got to the center, 1 child was sitting under a table scared to death while the other child could be heard screaming in the background. My son was clearly upset, but no explaination was given about the children's current state or behavior. NO one said anything to him. At 6:30 PM we got another one of these text messages that states, "We cannot accomodate your childrens' needs and they cannot come back to the center. How can you advertise as a First Steps facility for working parents and dismiss children via text on their first day without explanation. And before you ask, no, we did not receive a phone call or text about any situation before 4:45 pm. I have yet to receive further correspondance from anyone from the center. In my opinion, they are not professionals, they are money grabbers, and don't have a since of what child care and development means. I feel that the children were intimidated, especially because it was their first day and they did not give them the benefit of the doubt. I am disappointed in us."

"I love this development center. My oldest who is 20 went here and my 14 year old went here. My 1 year old currently is here now and let’s just say he is well loved here. He jumps down out my arms n jumps into his teachers. The activities they do with them are very educational and allow the kids to be creative. Same staff maybe a few new faces but mostly FAMILY oriented. I recommend them 1000 percent."

"My son has been at Unique Kidz since he was 8 months old and he’s almost 10. He’s in the after school program there now. This place is like home to us. The staff is very down to earth and they treat the kids as they would their own kids. Very professional and will assist your family in many ways if need be. We love everyone here. Highly recommend them for kids of all ages."

"I wish there was an option for 0 stars! I do not recommend this daycare. The door is always unlocked. The front desk is not manned. If someone is sitting there, they don't have the decency to speak. They want you to communicate through an app but don't respond when you do so. The owner is rude and does not know how to have an adult conversation. A simple question was asked about a voucher. She got very beligerent and started yelling. She dropped my child from the role immediately even though no payments have been missed, leaving me without childcare. I am definitely reporting to DSS and the Better Business Bureau."
