"**BUYER BE WARE** I write this review as an extremely disappointed and frustrated customer of Coastal Living Consultants, several months after the incident described below. Typically I find that working with a local company provides a more personalized process and relationship. NOT HERE. Please know you will find an extreme lack of communication, professionalism, organization and education. When we asked for help or guidance, we were met with silence. When we asked questions, no one replied. We were asked to complete informational forms, which we did. Then we were handed invoices several months later for increases in coverage that we did not approve or even know we were adding to our policy. After this issue was called to attention and emails were sent to express our extreme displeasure with the level of customer service, communication and mistakes made my Coastal Living Consultants, there was no attempt to correct the situation, or even apologize for the mistakes made on their behalf. Instead, Costal Living Consultants did not correct their mistake or communicate. Their solution, pass the buck and threaten to send to collections. Please do not make the same mistake that I did, find an agent who will actually communicate, actually answer questions, give you guidance, knowledge and make sure you feel comfortable and confident. Not trick you in to accidentally increasing your policy then slam you with them bill and point the finger at you. I hope this honest account of what happened me will allow someone to avoid the frustrations of woking with this company."

"I was in the middle of a crisis & was quite upset….but I was merely asking BJ a question, when he snapped at me and spoke in a condescending manner….as though I were an inconvenience….I don’t tolerate that. That is not how to treat customers. I told him I didn’t need his attitude and hung up….when I emailed him the next day saying I still needed the DocuSign - he responded to me telling me I was rude and he didn’t work with people like that & wouldn’t send me the DocuSign - basically refusing to help me in the middle of the crisis. Totally unprofessional and rude & he had the nerve to call me disrespectful. I secured a new agent immediately."

"BJ not only under insured us initially with our Home Owner's policy, he treated us as an inconvenience when he didn't set us up with the proper policy needed for our renovations of our new home. We ended up leaving Coastal Living for a new coverage policy where they were proactive and took their time to explain to us what exactly we needed. BJ also sent us another customer's policy to sign at one point and we were the ones that had to inform him of this mistake. He was careless, rude, and not someone I would recommend to anyone looking for quality care for your insurance needs."
