"this was the WORST experience i’ve ever had at a movie theatre and honestly a place of business in general. the workers are absolutely awful. they wouldn’t let me bring my water bottle into the theatre, which is fine, so they encouraged me to leave it at the counter. when i came back to get it, there was nobody at the counter to give it back to me. we called for them to come out many times and received no response. another party was in the same situation as us, so we leaned over the counter to look for them. the person working finally decided to come out (mind you, she had to be watching over security and still not doing her job to even know that this was happening), and started screaming to get out or she was going to call the cops on all of us. we were told to come back the next day where i then found my water bottle unattended, sitting out for just anybody to grab by the entrance. it is ridiculous to have such a disregard for my belongings after causing such a scene in the first place. after reading all of these other reviews, i have been feeling more validated because of how many reviews talk about the threat of the police being called."
"This is normally my favorite theater to take my kids too. The tickets and concessions are reasonable. The theater is clean and we love the reclining seats. However, none of that can make up for what one of the employees did the last time we went. Everything started off fairly normal, we bought our tickets and our snacks and went to see the movies. Like we are supposed to I had my phone put away and on silent so that no one would be disturbed while watching the movie. My daughter and her friend were in another theater. Part way through the movie they were watching they tried to go out to the car to get a blanket because the theater was cold, they come back in and the woman let them back in to the theater. They were trying to get ahold of me, so they were waiting around in the main lobby to see if I would answer and that's when the problem started. The employee kept asking them questions, asked for the ticket stubs, after a few minutes my daughter found them to show to the woman. Then this woman proceeds to tell my daughter and her friend that she was going to walk them back into the theater to get their stuff. These girls weren't doing anything, except looking for me and couldn't call me because we're following policy. So, these two girls were kicked out of the movie they'd paid to see. Then to take it a step further the manager threatened to "tell the cops" on them and tried to make them go outside the theater. Not only was it cold, but these two girls were at the theater with an adult and are minors. There was no way on earth that they were going to go outside, seems this woman doesn't know just how dangerous it can be for young people. So, I get out my movie when it ends and am told the story and I'm livid. I'm refused to chance to speak with the manager (who I'm assuming wasn't on the clock at that point), so after making sure they know my thoughts I leave. I call the corporate number and leave a message and no answer. I contact the company through social media and no answer. It's been over week and I've yet to hear about anyone regarding this matter. I doubt I will ever return to either of the Southeast Cinema's in the Charleston area in the future. I expected so much more out of this place and I've never been so disappointed"
"The seats are awesome, and it wasn't very busy when I went (saw the movie Ferrari). Parking is easy, staff were fine. I didn't find it 'unclean' when I went. The only thing that was odd is the box office outside the theatre."
"This is a nice, comfortable place to watch a good movie. The concessions are good, and most of the attendants are well trained, personalable, and professional. The reclining seats are the most comfortable of any theater and have us spoiled. Other theaters feel cramped and uncomfortable if we ever go to one( mostly because we are in another town ). I do have one small complaint. Although the restrooms are always clean, the sink areas are always a mess with wet counters and stuff in the sinks."
"Pretty comfy seat, electrically assisted recliners. A bit of a step up from my normal small town game. Popcorn was decent. The theater has a weird, I don't want to say atmosphere, but the decor is a little strange inside of the viewing rooms. And they smelled a bit weird, but it wasn't nasty or anything like that. Generally had a good time."
