Reviews of Cottage Row
"Wouldn't let my son out of lease, despite giving several months notice and never moving in. They wouldn't even negotiate a partial payment plan. Don't trust these operators, they are very aggressive regardless of your life circumstances."
"Maintenance is very quick to come out and fix things and every time they’ve come it hasn’t messed up again. Staff is fine I haven’t had any problems. But the walls are thin in the cottages and what irritates me so much is the Wi-Fi NEVER works. We have “free” wifi that never works and it seems like it was everyone. They told me to call the company they use and the guy said it had been out for a while and they had no estimated time of when it would be fixed. He said it would probably be a while and it’d be best for me and my roommate to just buy our own router to use. Like what?! So what do we have supposedly free wifi for? And then my first real utility bill was $122 for me and $122 for my roommate which was outrageous. Half of the time we’re here, half of the time not. We started having to make sure we’re constantly turning off lights and keeping the AC not so cold during summer months to where the next bill only went down to $80 a piece."
"Had an issue on move-in day (which is obviously the worst day to need something done immediately), but the property manager, Lulu, and Kim were communicative on the repairs to my unit. Within less than 3 days, the repair was made and I am very appreciative of their quickness to help me fix the unit. The repair was done quickly & the work was pretty good, too. So thank you to admin & maintenance!"
"We had a great two-year experience at Cottage Row. The apartment was comfortable, clean, with reliable appliances and fixtures. Things felt much safer at Cottage Row than other area complexes. Recommended as an excellent place for students to live in Statesboro!"
"Cottage Row is spacious, which is what I like about it, but I feel like they take advantage of students that don’t know any better. My first disappointment was when I signed my lease. The manager was so nice and she let us sign earlier than normal, but months after approval we were told we’d have to resign and lose our furniture package (aka buy everything out of pocket last minute) or pay for additional packages we never wanted. When we moved in, the stovetop and dishwasher weren’t working. Maintenance was quick to come out, but they didn’t actually fix it for weeks. The worst problem is the AC. They’ve had to come out minimum twice a month this summer to fix our AC and it’s miserable. We’ve had to call maintenance so many times this year and a lot of it would’ve been easily avoidable if each unit was actually inspected before move-in instead of just doing a 5 minute walk through. Also at move-in, I found torn, dirty carpet and dog-scratches on the doors in my room, but I hear they charge residents hundreds at move out for “cleaning and repairs”. It’s also concerning how fast the cracks in the concrete floors have been spreading since we got here… Lastly, the back of the complex is completely neglected. I always see landscaping crews at the front but they ripped up all of our bushes, we have dying trees, and the lawns are sandy and overgrown with weeds. I know a lot of the money went into renovating the clubhouse, which looks great, but clearly the hundreds they charge aren’t going into the units- quantity over quality i guess."
