"I stayed at the Summits for a year while attending USC Aiken and loved my stay for the most part. I loved the apartment complex and maintenance responded quickly. However, I am now a student at AU and applied to a new apartment in Augusta. My application was approved, but they needed rental verification first. My move in date was supposed to be today, but that’s not happening because of Ms. Tracy. She “claimed” to have sent it, but her tone and attitude on the phone really said otherwise. The apartment complex also does not have a record of receiving it. I’ve emailed and called multiple times and it’s either no response or a sassy tone. Now instead of just paying $175 for my security deposit, I have to pay over $1000 because they can’t verify my rental history. This is really inconvenient for me. Prior residents should receive the same respect as current tenants, in my opinion. Great place to stay but please give Tracy a training on customer service first or simply replace her. "Here is your warning. Ask about the mold because they will not tell you about it willingly. I was a resident for a full year. I renewed my lease and found the mold shortly after. I reported the issue to Tracy (office manager) and to the corporate office. I first noticed it in my window sills throughout the apartment. Tracy and maintenance told me to place towels in the sills to absorb the moisture. I even showed them the pics of the leaking walls and the video of the waterfall. They did nothing but repaint the windows. As opposed to attempting to properly remove the mold and correct the root cause, they put their efforts into intimidation and eviction. They simply paint over the problems and re-rented the unit. I lived in the 590 building. I did not have a pleasant experience living at these apartments. The staff there was very rude and lacked professionalism. I was evicted from there 11 months ago but this situation still effects me and my family today. I pray no one else is subjected to such trauma."
