"Brenda answered an was extremely rude an act as if I bothered her by asking questions. If I am considering moving to your property of course I’ll have several questions to reassure this is the right place for me. The way she represented this property helped me make a decision quickly. I would never pursue a rental property with this company and I suggest others do the same."
"Owner and staff are very friendly. Fairly priced and within a nice quiet area. The apartment had small issues during my time there but maintenance was always responsive. Northland/Vyve internet reliability in the area will be extremely spotty but this is not the fault of the apartment complex."
"I lived here June 2009 - December 2015. I can honestly say I did not have one negative experience while living at Heritage Pointe. With the Burtons, business is personal. You know who you're renting from, and they are glad to have you. They are very accommodating with altering lease terms should the need arise, and you can keep your pets here for a low fee. Heritage Pointe is an older apartment community so the rooms are a bit smaller than what most people expect from an apartment. The kitchen was tiny, the bathroom was basically a hallway past the sink to the toilet and tub, and my bedroom furniture barely fit into the master bedroom. I converted the second bedroom into an office for studying. The biggest draw for me was the balcony. I spent many pleasant afternoons outside on the balcony, just observing nature and/or studying/reading a book. Many pricier apartments don't even include a tennis court. This one does. My rent for a 2BR, 1BA apartment began at $525/month and when I left in 2015, I was paying $595. It's now only $620. That includes rent-free washer and dryer - not just the hookups! The pool is great for company and there is a grill on site with tables for hosting cookouts. I never had problems with bugs in the apartment, noise, or parking. Once the A/C started leaking, but maintenance fixed the issue in less than three hours. I did notice that some units were starting to get window A/C units right before I left. This was the year after the apartments were re-roofed. Perhaps the Burtons were being mindful of their operating costs and trying to keep the rent low and competitive. Many of the cheaper apartments in the Clemson/Central area don't even have heat pump thermostats, so to some college students this won't matter. Many complexes around them lease individual rooms. A smart and thrifty college student will find a roommate and lease here for cheaper than it costs to crowd in with four roommates at one of the corporate apartments. As far as safety, I had friends who stayed here and always kept their doors unlocked. I never felt unsafe living here and neither did my co-ed friends in college. My mail was never stolen, I never witnessed a crime and even the parties were usually quite tame. Heritage Pointe is directly situated on the Red Route for the CAT bus. You will never need an Uber or a DD as long as you live here. The nearest grocery store is a five minute walk from here. Death Valley is several miles, but the roar of the crowd can be heard clearly even at this distance!"
"Great place to live. The apartments are a little older style, but that comes with the cheaper cost compared to the other Burton Properties. Very quiet, mostly grad students or older families living there. Staff is fantastic. They come to fix service requests the day you call them in and are VERY friendly."
"I lived at Heritage Pointe from August 2007 through July 2011. Like the other reviewer, I only left because I was moving away. Mr. Burton and his father are remarkably kind people, as well as the rest of the maintenance staff (who would respond as quickly as they could). The first day of my lease there was an issue with my A/C, so I called the after hours number. I was surprised to find out that it was Mr. Burton's (the younger) cell phone. He was actually eating dinner when I called, and he answered. I felt terrible, but he sent someone out to fix it immediately. My wife and I are moving back to Clemson in January, and we're looking forward to potentially moving back in to one of their apartments. Gave them a call the other day, and they actually remembered my name and apartment number from more than a year ago. Good people. Good business."
