"The apartments units are nice and maintenance is quick to respond. However, the management is a mess. After being approved, they forgot to provide my lease; I had to call and request it. What management said would happen prior to move in did not. It was one huge headache coming down to 18 hours before move in to get them to counter sign the lease. Upon move in they were unable to provide me a key fob to access the club house, gym, and package room."
"Holding fee is non refundable. Everything else was ok. Very nice tour guide. However when I was told the 300 fee is just a holding fee to hold onto the apartment till it becomes available and it would be applied to your rent anyways. Never once was it mentioned it's non refundable. If it was a security deposit I'd get that. If it was an admin fee I'd get that. But this is a "holding fee". But nice apartments just make sure you wanna live here."
"I recently had an experience with Emerald Creek Apartments in Greenville, and I must say I was quite disappointed. One major issue I encountered was their strict income requirement. They demanded a monthly income of at least $5600 in order to be considered for an apartment. This seemed completely unreasonable to me, especially considering the rent of $1300. As an international student, this requirement automatically disqualified me, as I did not have a steady income source meeting their criteria. What baffles me even more is that there are many other apartments near Clemson University that cater to international students and have more flexible leasing options. These apartments consider the paperwork and documentation provided by the students, rather than solely focusing on their monthly income. Although I must acknowledge the helpful and friendly attitude of the salesperson, Meoshia, the lack of assistance from the corporate management was disappointing. It felt like they were not interested in finding a solution for potential tenants who did not meet their strict income requirement. Overall, I would not recommend Emerald Creek Apartments to anyone who does not meet their stringent income criteria. Their inflexibility and lack of understanding for international students make them an unfavorable option in the Greenville area."
"I would leave zero stars if I could. The staff is okay, its the tenants. I have complained multiple times and the leasing office basically told me that it was nothing they could do unless it was after 10pm. The tenants above me stomp, jump, and move furniture ALL day long. Its to the point where I leave home just to get peace. With the price of this apartment I want to be able to have a peaceful space. 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!"
"2 Stars because the complex is nice, spacious amenities and beautiful floorplans. My experience applying here was upsetting. I expecting more help. I was provided a map of the property to tour the unit I wanted to apply for, came back to the office and spoke with the agent there and she informed me a 3rd party does there screenings, but she recommends for income to be at least 2x the rent, and no minimum credit score required they check for evictions and rental history, bankruptcies etc.. Unfortunately that is not true, my application was denied due to my credit score. "Risk score does Not Meet Property Requirements" . Also when I attempted to come back and reapply, I was told over the phone I could "Apply as many times as I want" but I should wait for the decision to come back in the mail. I explained to them I also had a cosigner that wanted to roommate with me but would not be in South Carolina until January. I was told I would have to pay ANOTHER $50 application fee and so would the applicant. While walking to my car to get my purse to do another application online at the office because I was told it would take at least 20 minutes to do the screening. She followed me outside and told me I could not re apply for another SIXTY (60) DAYS. When I asked her how would they go about me being the cosigner instead of main applicant she told me she would find out and give me a call or email me. Here we are a week later and still no response. I've decided to move on with my endeavors."
