"Sandra the property manager is amazing!!! I needed to move in to my new apartment ASAP. I stopped by on a Friday (VERY close to closing time and leading up to a holiday weekend) and Sandra still met me with a smile and welcoming attitude. Sandra stayed late to make sure that I had the opportunity to place a deposit on my new apartment. My situation was complicated by the fact that I am self-employed and don't have a typical W-2. Sandra continued to stay in contact with me over the holiday weekend and work on getting the necessary paperwork ready for me to sign on the following Monday. There were a few other obstacles that we had to overcome, but Sandra handled it all with patience, grace, and a welcoming smile and attitude. I absolutely love my apartment! I love the location, my neighbors, and it is extremely quiet, which quite honestly was a bit surprising. You can't beat the location either!!! Gene the maintenance director is extremely personable and professional. I have put in a couple of requests and they are always handled quickly and professionally. Thank you so much Sandra and Gene for all you do!!"

"Okay so this place took $300 in fees, deposit to hold apartment and was to return $250 of this money and denied application but is keeping our money and refuses to call us back about what's taking so long??? So now I have to drive 2 hours because this lady in the office doesn't answer or return phone calls. Scam much?? I'm reporting this place! Yall on bs"

"I wouldn't even give this dump a 1 star but it makes you! Was a resident for 7 years and management often comes in and snoops around your belongings while you are at work. Upon talking to other neighbors, I found out it happens to everyone! Gene likes to enter often without knocking. Privacy latch is a must or you will be walked in on! About the only thing they have going for them is frequent pest control. Which really doesn't do much good when you have trashy neighbors who let their kids leave food in the hallway. Roaches were a frequent problem. I had 2 apartments in my time at Bent Oak and roaches were a problem in both units. Also, do NOT get a co-signer or they will be bothered nonstop and the actual residents get ignored and told they aren't the lease holder and to have the actual lease holder contact the office. I had my mother co-sign because I wasn't working when I moved in, never late on rent once and was treated like scum because I technically wasn't the lease holder yet I was the one paying the rent. The quality of the residents in the last 2 years has really gone down. Neighbors were loud up until 3 or 4 am, making it impossible to study, sleep, or even function to go to work the next morning. Management does not care. The best advice I can give is RUN! Pay the extra somewhere else. By far the worst place I have ever lived."

"Horrible experience! This apartment complex does not put their customers first. My husband and I moved here from PA. Not knowing the area. We were mislead by the property manager, Karen Meadows, into believing this was a safe place to live. We were very misguided. The buildings are cockroach INFESTED do not believe a word management says otherwise. My brother came to visit and had one fall on his face. Disgusting. Drugs are frequently smoked on the premises and they said so themselves that it has been an ongoing problem. Beer bottles and mens t-shirts in the parking lot right by your car when you wake up in the morning!! Maintenance guy lets himself in your apartment to deliver packages. There are many problems with this complex and company but most of the problem is with management. If you have the option of living here or somewhere else, LIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!"
